I had take away fish and chips. Good crsipy batter and nice crunchy fries. the fish was moist and noice, the chips forgettable. BUT, for $10 you can sit on the beach and watch for wales. Pretty sweet deal.

disappointing. The Italian at the pacific looks great. The set out is lovely, the location is terrific, but the food was a disappointment. I had snapper with scallops ind it was so salty, it was almost inedible. The same for the duck. The desserts were really good which was a redeeming feature, but overall a real shame. Not again for me.

this is in an old school house. Its a beautiful setting: sunny verandah surrounded by trees and off the road- so very peaceful. even its own resident koala (in the trees, we saw it during breakfast and apparently its usually in the vicinity. Breakfast is good. Sourdough, sweet tomatoes and perfectly poached eggs- a feat in itself. My friend had corn fritters and there was an excellent corn to batter ratio (much more corn than batter). The coffee is local and good and the side of avocado salsa was big and really yummy. Not cheap at about $15-20 pp but def worth it.

there are a lot of burger choices in newtown. Bugerfuel is cheaper than some of the others and the burgers are BIG. there are vegetarian and vegan options and you can also get smaller sizes although not in all choices. the service is fast and friendly and the staff are always helpful. This is my current choice for burgers. the beef may not be ultra lean but jeez, it tastes good.

there are a few of this chain around sydney, also newcastle. this one is the original (i think) and excellent. The menu is more extensive than the newcastle branch. the food it excellent- the dumplings were freshly made and the veg dishes we had were fresh and tasty. I recommend the gluten hotpot, even for meat eaters, delicious. one warning, some of the veg dish prices are a little steep, but overall, good value

we had breakfast here. just coffee and toast. it was really good, the coffee was peaberry's which is just fantastic, and the raisin toast was 1 inch thick. i would def visit again. The same price as everywhere else in the bay but quite, relaxed, attentive service and lots!

very good rolls. The fresh rolls seem to be the most popular but there are also noodle boxes, pastries and some hot food. It always seems busy but its very fast and worth the wait for a cheap, tasty and healthy (depending) lunch. The rolls are the best i have had for a while- fresh bread, good serves and delicious to boot.

this place is ok. The servings are good, ands its interesting food- lots of good grains and legumes etc (as the name would indicate) the only issue is it really slow. really slow. I have a salad sandwich with lots of raw ingredients- disappointingly didnt live up to expectation, but others' meals looked good

good value with good sized servings. Its always pretty busy. There are meals, breakfast and light snacks- the desserts are home made and tasty which is a treat. there is table service but its fairly informal. Good for a quick lunch.

this is a nice cafe- kind of 'ol skool'- table service and meals at lunch. there are takeaway sandwiches and so on, but its the cafe style lunch I like. burgers, fish and chips, salmn patties. good serves, fresh and tasty
