A wow for the yummy pies, not for the service but overall not bad. Went here with friends and all 8 of our kids had seconds and all of us tried and loved the curry chicken pie. I was disappointed to find no seafood varieties but we also had desert pies and the apple & apple-berry pies with cream were great. It was a great treat on a foggy day and worth the drive up to the highlands.

Interesting little Indian / also an Italian pizzeria run by Indians.
They tried very hard but were clumsy and got our order all wrong. Very apologetic and obviously hard working young men, so 10 points for trying. The food was ok but as an Indian food lover, I thought it a bit dried out and forgetting our entrees didn't impress me. When we did get our entrees (after the meal) they weren't the ones we thought we had ordered.
Tip - speak clearly and check your order. If this is how they fare when there are only 2 customers, I'd hate to dine there wen they were busy, who knows what you'd get!

We didn't have the degustation menu but as each course came we tasted each others meals and with accompanying recommended wines, it felt like the degustation. I had scallops for entree which was superb but also tasted the amazing mushroom dish, and duck - all of which were fab.
For mains I was inspired (by descriptive menu) to have the artichoke, my first ever vegetarian choice - was not disappointed but also tasted the beef, pork and seafood and they were all magnificent. I never have a whole desert but I shared the brûlée and then a cheese plate - all I can say is YUM! Very expensive (with wines it came to over $100 per head) but enjoyed every bite!

We stopped here as a birthday treat with friends who live near Maitland whilst traveling through NSW and had heard it was a 'Sydney herald hat award restaurant'.
Great menu, it's $75 for 2 courses and $95 for 3 courses which is on the high side but a great idea is to get 2 courses each, share your entree and deserts so you still get to taste the 3 courses. I can never eat 3 whole courses anyway so I love that plan! The pork belly was fantastic but the veal my partner had was dry (over cooked) which was unexpected from such a fine restaurant considering the prices. Our waiter was lovely and had a great sense of humor and also had a keen knowledge on local produce which was helpful.

I could not believe the amount of food served to us, we could have fed a table of 6 an there were just the 2 of us.
The decor is cozy but very modern and you can stroll out to the asian pond/deck area to stretch your legs. The food is contemporary Thai. Everything we had was so delicious and being a set menu that we chose, we got to try a variety.
I would recommend ordering light!
The wines that were recommended matched well, this place has several awards, they know what they are doing.

This is the perfect get-away, they arrange everything so once you get here you can totally switch off and not have to make decisions. I organised dinner for all 3 nights, one at the on-site Thai, one at the long apron (which they drive us to) and one delicious gourmet BBQ on our balcony. The cabins are private and modern and the bath was fantastic.
They provide bikes, walking trails, there's a waterfall/river to walk to & swim in or you can play games/movies or totally hide away! The pool was relaxing to laze about in the sun too. This place has it all, Loved every minute!!

Yes, it's expensive BUT yes, it's worth it!
We had the degustation menu with recommended wines and the food was sensational! Yes, we were completely drunk by the end but hey, they had a courtesy bus driving us back to our accommodation. This place is top notch French inspired cuisine and we loved the presentation of each plate (for instance the little garden pot tipped over to look as if the dirt & plants spilled on your plate - it's all edible!) I'm sure they change the menu regularly so you will probably have different dishes but we thought it was very special.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, it's romantic and relaxing.
The restaurant was totally awesome and we enjoyed top quality food and flexible, friendly staff recommended wines and served our desert on the lounge near the wood fire, it was lovely.
There's a nice pool and spa to relax in by day and the good thing about this place is you don't have to drive out to find food as the restaurant is right there!

Hidden in the Hunchy Valley, we stayed in a self contained cottage in the rainforest. if you like nature & walking, it is a serene place and you have your own secluded hideaway. We lit the fire, enjoyed the spa, they provided candles and they designed the place especially for couples who want a romantic cottage so youre not bombarded with families. You have a private BBQ, and a fully equipped kitchen so you can enjoy the the bacon and eggs platter at your own leisure.
We went for a walk to the private waterfall and swam there with no one around. It was just a 2 night break but it felt longer because as soon as you arrive, you totally relax!

I had been here before years ago and very unlike me to rebook when there are so many other places to try.... But it was just as magical as the first time and Angus made us ever so welcome again. My partner received a lovely bottle of wine as it was his birthday. I love how they totally leave you alone (deliver your breakfast basket) yet are always there if you need them, including a chauffeur drive in to town when you're dining out so you don't drink & drive, then pick you up again.
Excellent service and a lovely spot to totally unwind from work & family life and get away from it all. Spa bath, log fire...
My tip... Don't turn on the tv, there's so much else to do!
