We recently purchased a mattress and bed head from Forty Winks. The mattress and bed head are fantastic and wish I'd purchased them sooner. This has little to do with Forty Winks and more to do with the manufacturer - but at least they stock quality products.

The bed head had to be ordered in and we were quoted 6 weeks. 9 Weeks arrived and we had received no communication from them. So after several phone calls initiated by me it was eventually delivered in the 10th week. There is probably little influence that they have over the order time but what was disappointing was the lack of communication or follow-up. This is really the foundation of good customer service and they let themselves down here.

On the upside they offered us (not in response to the bed head delay - just at the time of sale), some substantial discounts on already quite cheap prices for bedding/linen. I will return there to buy this -just won't be ordering anything they don't have in stock.

Richard built our first home for us in 09/10 after building my friend's house the year before. He put together exactly what we were after – a modern house that stands out amongst the rest. I couldn't imagine building a house without him. He is the exact person you want to build your most valuable asset - enthusiastic, a perfectionist, honest and trustworthy. Even almost a year later if I have a question or problem, I'll call him up and he's straight on to solving the problem. He was able to guide us through the entire building process allowing us the flexibility to design our house however we wanted but with the experienced guidance we needed to make sure we were on the right path and didn't make decisions that wouldn't work out later on. He is always in search of a better supplier or product for his clients.
I've seen some of the dramas that our neighbours are going through with project builders and it reminds me how lucky we were to choose Richard. We receive a lot of positive comments on the quality of the build even from several family members in the building industry who admire the work. He has no hesitation in getting his hands dirty on the site sorting out any problem and it's reassuring to know you can call and speak to the man in charge rather than just some sales rep who only cares about getting the sale and moving on to the next one.

Whenever I hear from someone that they are interested in building a house, I jump at the chance to recommend Richard and look forward to perhaps one day building another one with him.
