The cafe/bakery has the cutest decor and a nice variety of pastries, breads and cakes. The pastries and breads are all very good, however, some of the cakes are rather innovative so may not suit every person's taste. The drinks are good, not excellent, but they have a very good cake and coffee/tea deal for $6.50.

Dong Ba, known for its Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), has opened up another restaurant. Both the quality and the value of their dishes has improved with the new location. Mains are about $10-$12 but there is a 20% grand opening discount. While it is not the best Vietnamese restaurant of Cabramatta, it makes up in enviroment/ambience - it is cleaner and more roomy than most.

Approximate cost: $10

Was looking for breakfast food at 11.54am and found that they still served breakfast until 12. They have quite generous serving sizes, 3xhalf poached egg and plenty of smoked salmon on the salmon benedict, and an average number of breakfast selections. The service was acceptable, though there was only one waitress to serve inside, outside and at the register, so we had to wait a while to be served. The same waitress also made the coffee, which was the most disappointing of the meal. It smelt and tasted a little burnt and my flat white was more frothy than my friend's capp. Overall, I was unhappy about the coffee but the value of the food may bring me back.

Approximate cost: $12.50

Dim lights and red theme throughout the restaurant makes it very romantic. Was with a couple of children who were very loud, but the waiters were very nice about it :) Had the $75 banquet, which had some strange dishes (wasabi mash potato??? so weird) but was pretty great overall. I love the salads. The deserts were also great! Would definitely go again :)

As everyone below has said, the deserts here are quite expensive. However, I do enjoy the occassional visit as they have flavors which aren't available anywhere else (or are very hard to find!). My favorites are Panang and Taro. And yes, there is a surcharge/minimum spend on Fri/Sat/Sun/holidays which I haven't found written on the menu so ask first if you're not sure.

Approximate cost: $5/$15

The food is good, although my Korean friends weren't too fond of it (I don't know why). I like the call buttons installed on each table as it saves having to wave insanely or continually trying to make eye contact, but it does get quite busy at times (around 12-1.30) so there might be a queue - in that case I don't bother waiting. The prices are reasonable. The bathroom is rather clean :) I've been many times since it opened a couple years ago, however I've noticed that overall service and quality/taste of the food has declined slightly so it's not on the top of the list yet it's not a restaurant I avoid either.

This review is for Delicious Chinese BBQ Noodle House, Liverpool NSW

verified email - 28 Jul 2010

Although not authentic Chinese cuisine, the food is nice and I would say suitable to most people who appreciate Chinese tastes. The cost is average, though probably not for an in-between-lunch-and-dinner snack. While I noticed there were quite a few non-Chinese patrons, the receptionist had understandable, though not perfect, English, but that doesn't really matter since there's English on the menu :) It is a BBQ restaurant so you will leave smelling a bit like BBQ meat, but overall there's no reason not to go back.

This review is for Ghermez Cupcakes, Sydney NSW

The cupcakes are very elegantly decorated and look rather exquisite. Though I did see a couple that look too strange (I don't think I'd ever try) and I found that these are a bit too sweet for me. The service was good as the lady was patient and not pushy as I browsed through the store. They have 2 sizes: mini and normal. I think the mini was $3.80 which I don't think is good value but the large one is too much to eat considering how sweet they are. Overall, this store is good, though I much rather prefer Cupcakes on Pitt :)

Approximate cost: $3.80

This review is for 707 Sushi And Salad Buffet, Strathfield NSW

The service here is great, from the greeting that you always get walking into a japanese restaurant, til the moment you walk out their door. Now the food - while they specify that they're a buffet restaurant, I would not recommend the buffet. It's a set menu and although most of it may look wonderful, it really isn't. Unlike the traditional walk-up-and-take-large-portions-of-your-favourite-stuff buffet, you have to finish all the ones they give you before going for seconds. So it's more of a banquet. Some might love it, some may hate it. I personally prefer the traditional buffet style (which they used to have before changing to this set menu) which is why when we do go there, I opt for their sushi and sashimi which is pretty fresh, and not the buffet. Price? Not the greatest value for money, but it's reasonable.

The service was good, I rather liked the decoration :) and the tables were quite spacious. I noticed their consideration for the disabled with access made easy for wheelchairs. The menu is not as authentic Korean as I'd hoped and there isn't much variety, though is great for when you're in the mood for hotpot or rice paper rolls. There were two large families dining that night, while the rest of the tables were filled with 3 or more people. I'm guessing customers come in groups of 3 or more (I did) since the menu doesn't really cater for individuals or couples.

Approximate cost: $25
