Maaaaate! Bought a great pair of boots at a good price. You remember Hi Side leathers from years ago? Still kicking in Salisbury. They've got great range of leather gear from gloves to full leathers, saddle bags etc. Well worth a look if your in the area. I plan to have another look soon. Cheers.

Had a return dinner after their welcome introduction to Ipswich. We had a mixture of curries and breads with the usual accompaniments. The service was fine & staff seemed keen to please. Whilst our meals were flavoursome, yet a tad thin, there was an unfortunate sameness about the sauces and a distinct lack of ingredient remnants found in good curries made from scratch, such as the odd bit of cardamon or cinnamon. Whilst I regard Mehfil as a much better attempt to fill this beautiful site I am a little disappointed in some of its authenticity food wise. I would like to think my curry is made from authentic ingredients on site rather than mixed into commercial sauces. I would go again but if no change I think I would lose interest.

Purchased a membership in a vacation club with max points at 1/3 cost of original club price. Terry supplies an excellant service in these areas if you are thinking of joining one. Also booked other holiday accommodation Redseason manages to acquire. A great newsletter full of excellant offers, updates and news on club operations. Worth a look.

This review is for Fentons Cafe Restaurant, Ipswich QLD

Having eaten at Fentons for many years I have had some lovely meals in the past.
I went for lunch with a friend recently for a midweek lunch. The lunch menu was only 7-8 options from $12-$23. We arrived to cooled water on the tables and immediately seated and presented with menus by very pleasant staff. From the limited menu I chose the Atlantic Salmon with nicoise salad and my companion chose the chicken roulade with mango sauce. The salmon was overdone and served with a miserly nicoise salad. Whilst the chicken roulade was very tasty it could have been offset with some greens such as zuchinni ribbons, beans or similar to balance the meal. A bit put off from visiting more often by the lack of change to the menu.

A lunch as part of a group. Thinking I would love a good steak sandwich. I went to lunch and found the menu did not have a steak sandwich. Instead I was met with a menu you would exexpect to see in a serious restaurant. Thinking I don't want a steak I thought the Peking Duck Spring rolls entre ($12.00) and the caesar salad (no anchovies available) $13.00 would be a fine lunch. Wrong!. My $12.00 spring rolls (4x mini size spring rolls tasting mostly of hoisin) and my Caesar sans anchovies ($13.00) was a mass of lettuce with a hard poached egg on shaved parmesan and topped with a caesar sauce of questionable origin and smattering of croutons. Other meals at the table were equaly dissapointing.

Bought a pie. Thought it was a tough, sack full of runny sauce. Pretty disgusting really. Pastry was flat & rubbery and the filling was overpowering flavours in dodgy meat sauce. I was actually walking away before the staff acknowledged my existance. Wish I had left a bit sooner.

Seriously excellent coffee. Had the pleasure of breakfasting a few times recently. A busy queue for coffee, while others were empty, tempted us. Along with the coffee we chose a fruit salad & yoghurt and an eggs benendict. Fresh cut fruit salad with a beautiful fresh greek style yoghurt and one of the best EBs ever. Eggs poached as asked (soft) on a thick whole grain toast with ample ham and a side of fresh avocado. The hollendaise was PERFECT, best ever! Greedily added some crisp bacon and I was in breakfast heaven. Staff great. The coffee is worth the trip to check it out.

A very disappointingg experience. Waited a very long time for soft shell crab that was tasteless and greasy and the chilii sauce was awful. Both the crumbed & battered fish were very oily which was not good for what might have been nice fish. The chips were soggy and could only be straight if hung vertically. While the calamari was tender and soft the overly greasy crumbed coating spoilt that. A bit of a shame for such a good name. Lets hope it improves.

A pleasant evening. Well looked after with efficient service. A lovely rich field mushroom & cream soup, interesting dips with more than enough crispy Turkish bread. garlic bread a tad oily. The med-rare beef was more to the rare but tender and flavoursome with an impressive sauce. The risotto was a bit light on rice with a bit much dried tomato in the sauce. The cannelloni was firm yet lacked a few fresh herbs or seasoning to lift the filling. Deserts were a real treat.
