I was very very disappointed on returning to what was once our favourite restaurant. Arrived at 5.20 and did not even get a drink till 6pm. The subsequent drink orders were done at the bar by one of our sons who also brought them to the table. The service was poor and given that at the time we went (early because we had a little one with us) there were very few people in the restaurant, really unforgivable. I'd say the manager just wasn't up to the job - in fact he really didn't seem to care. We were told they were short staffed but that did not stop them adding the 10% public holiday surcharge (which I assume is to cover the cost of staff on such days) or charging for the child's dinner although signs on the table clearly state children eat free!! I have to say our waitress was friendly but that really did not compensate. The food itself was average. Ribs were good, steak was very undercooked and quite cold, the "special" Texas steak was unavailable because they did not have the ingredients (onions and capsicum????) and the lamb chops were the strangest cut I've ever seen. There were piles of dirty dishes on the tables at the back of the restaurant but the wait staff really did not seem to be in a rush to sort them out. In the ladies bathroom, there were no hand towels or dryer. Overall, very overpriced for an underdone meal. Won't be going back as there are much better steak places around now.550
