I have shopped here for years with varying degrees of quality. Sometimes the meat is not good - tough chops/steak etc. It's not the way I cook it because when it is good quality it's great. This morning was the first time i had cause to consider changing butchers. One young staff member had rather a bad attitude and argued with me.....not good customer service. I asked to have the meat I wanted taken from the window so I could see what I was getting but her reply was that it is taken from the bin on the bench at the back of the room.....When i said was this a new thing she replied with ATTITUDE that they have done it this way for years. In all the years I have been going there I have never had such a thing happen - the meat was always taken from the window. She served me again with some other things glaring all the time and then when I was at the counter paying she was still throwing glares at me. When i got home the chicken i bought was slimy and I had to wash it before freezing.....there are plenty more friendly butchers around - it just means i have to travel a bit further. I'll give it one more go - but if the attitude of this young one hasn't been dealt with i will go elsewhere.
