Definitely some of the best coffee on the Sunshine coast, plenty of variety and well made but not as strong as I prefer. The staff and atmosphere can be a but pretentious (Panella instead of sugar for example). Pity the beans I bought were roasted over two weeks before, I expected fresher. Definitely worth a drop in if you are heading along the Bruce highway and need a coffee. If you are visiting the Ginger factory you have no excuses for drinking the swill at the cafe there with Pioneer over the road.

Very basic, no nearby ammenities, very slippery floors, very limited kitchenette, plates and glasses were not very clean, hotplates in poor condition but good air conditioning and matress. OK if you just need a bed in the area, I would not take the family there. A bit pricey for what you get in my opinion.

Very eye catching, very cool 1970's silver Airstream caravan converted to a coffee shop. Coffee was good, not completely to my taste but definitely some of the best in the area (which is decidedly lacking). Let down a bit by the standard Sigafredo coffee beans. Bacon and egg muffins not bad either.

I originally got on to Russell about 10 years ago when he came into work to do some electrical work. I now use him for all my electrical and data services (for myself and my clients now I am in my own business). He is reliable and honest and have referred him to a number of friends as well, all who have been very happy with his work. He does both residential and commercial work, most recently for me wired up a new home office for my own business.

Went here with my wife with a plan to have lunch given the great location and views. We were a bit early to eat so ordered coffee to wait out some time before we ate. The coffee was unbelievably bad, undrinkable. When I said something about it, the response was basically "if you dont like it, go somewhere else". We did so I cannot rate the food. I wont be going back.

This review is for Pete's Boat Service And Maintenance, Cheltenham VIC

A mate and I have been using Pete's Boat service for two years now. He really knows his stuff and the boat has been flawless since he started work on it. It is the little things like repainting the bottom of the outboard motor shaft and the propeller when they were off anyway, he just does it. Some of the repair jobs (eg we got some aluminium welding done to fix some fatigue cracks) are a bit pricey but we have been very happy with the quality and service. He was working from home but got so busy he had to set up a proper factory.

After a bad experience with a VW dealer service center that wanted $1200 to fix a flawed trailer plug wiring system, Pace listened to my concerns and knew exactly what I needed and how to fix it. The job was done quickly and properly (ie permanently) for $140. Very happy.

Volkspower have become my only VW service centre after multiple bad experiences with dealer servicing. They know their stuff, are cheaper, easier to deal with and seem completely honest. They are always busy (can take some time to get booked in). Their waiting room is a bit spartan and their location is not as convenient if you need public transport but it is worth the hassle.

I took my 5 year old VW Caddy to this service centre with an engine rattle. They took 3 visits before they said it needed a new flywheel that would cost around $3000 with a new clutch. The would not listen to me when I said the noise was wrong, it was at the wrong end of the engine and the symptoms did not match a dual mass flywheel issue (I was a mechanic once). I got a second opinion and got a call from the mechanic 40 minutes later, he had fixed the rattle , a faulty alternator pulley ($140 for the part plus 1/2 hr labour). I dont know how any trained mechanic could get the two mixed up, they are so fundamentally different. I gave them a spray on their customer satisfaction survey and got a call from their service manager a few weeks later saying that it was very embarrassing. He would not say what the outcome would have been had I paid $3000 and got a new clutch and flywheel that did not fix the issue I went in for in the first place. I wont be going back there again, even though it is so convenient (walking distance).

I took my 3 month old VW to South Yarra VW Commercial centre (their Richmond branch) with an electrical issue. They took multiple visits to diagnose the issue then said it was my fault (water in the trailer plug, not the visible one but the hidden badly sealed second connector) and wanted to charge me $1200 to fix it. They would not listen to what I wanted (ie the underlying flawed issue fixed) and just wanted to charge me to replace the failed parts with the same flawed system that was just going to fail the same way. I got the whole thing permanently fixed the way I wanted it fixed elsewhere for 10% of the price. I wont be going back to them, for anything.

Approximate cost: $1200
