We only required one bedroom and a front porch sanded and polished so many places weren't interested in small jobs however these guys were more than happy to help. Very happy with the service and workmanship and they were able to do it in a short timeframe (baby due any day). Mark and Konnor arrived on time, explained everything clearly, very professional and didn't leave behind any mess. Highly recommended and will be using them again.

These guys are great.
We are a small business and needed help getting some exhibition gear down to Sydney ASAP. We contacted Andrew and he bent over backwards to help us out. The equipment arrived in Sydney within a few hours, which was faster than I thought possible!

They even offered road freight back after the exhibition because it wasn't as urgent - which saved us money!

The exhibition was a success, all thanks to these guys. Again, I can't thank you enough - keep up the great work!

We used Faktortel as a small business and they were satisfactory. We originally were using ADSL2+ which was considered 'sufficient' to handle Voip, however the call quality was poor. I don't think this is fault of Faktortel however their sales team were keen to sign us up giving a false sense of assurance. Because the call quality was so bad we had to rely on a fixed Telstra line for all incoming calls. Faktortel had sold us new units called DX800A which has the ability to take incoming calls from a fixed line and make outgoing calls via Voip lines, however these phones are not suitable if you have more than 1 person in the office. There is no transfer function and the phones often didn't work 100%. Often a call would come in and the caller would not be able to hear us unless we quickly hung up the phone and manually selected the line they had called on. Very frustrating! We had tried several times to have our troubles resolved by purchasing additional handsets, Faktortel accidentally sent us the incorrect handsets and refused to send the correct handsets until we had returned the units that were shipped incorrectly. This cost us several days using an ad-hoc solution, diverting to mobile phones when the existing handsets were busy, which ended up costing much more and affected our business service levels to our customers substantially.

Their rates are very competitive, but keep in mind they still charge you for internal calls/transfers. I have not found any other Voip providers to charge for this.

Their business continuity and SLA was tested and failed during the Brisbane floods. From what I understand they rely on the AAPT server in the city, due to this being flooded all our Voip lines were disconnected. We were lucky that our Voip lines were not advertised and our customers were contacting us via the fixed line we had kept (just in case). Voip lines were not able to be diverted or redirected in anyway.

Purchased my 140mm skirting board here which is great! Have a massive range of timber on site. I picked out what I needed, the skirting board was grouped, taped, and stacked onto my ute for me.

Approximate cost: $400

I have purchased timber from here and they are very helpful. It was my first project and staff were more than happy to explain the different types and grades of timber available.

They delivered it to my destination and even were able to lift it all over the front fence and leave it in the front yard.

The only problem I incurred was the measurement quoted as "140x 19mm" meaning the timber is 140mm wide, 19mm thick. When measuring the actual boards they were 130x 19mm (not including the tongue).

Approximate cost: $1500

I had my brand new floorboards sanded and polished by David. The polish coat looks fantastic, but in some places is a little coarse. The putty job isn't the neatest I have seen, and there were 3 places where there was no putty. However, once I called David, he did come and fix it up within an hour. I am very impressed with his customer service.

It was approx 55 sq meters, it look the guys 2 days to sand and apply a total of 3 coats.

Approximate cost: $1000

The idea of an online forum where people can share experiences is great! Although there is not a lot of feedback posted (it's a brand new website) it shows massive potential. I asked for advise when I first joined and Brad was quick to respond (thanks Brad!). Value is awesome because it is FREE! and I think you get a free voucher if you do 10 reviews. Overall, awesome job guys, I enthusiastically look forward to contributing to this growing online community :)

Bought some RCAs and a 3.5mm jack to 2×RCA female jacks. After making payment online I contacted Swamp and canceled my order. They were happy to give me a full in store credit :) All the items are at a great price. Good range of products too.

I took a day of annual leave and booked in my car well in advance for a headunit install. I arrived early and left my car with the audio installers and was told it would cost between $200-250 for the install. After aimlessly walking around and patiently waiting for 6 hours I gave them a phone call. The sales rep was busy and was told he would call be back. After another hour without a call, I called back. It was then when I was told they had only had time to have a quick look at my car and they now estimate it will cost $350-400 for the install (I wasn't upset with the price, in fact if they called and told me I would have been keen). When I arrived to the shop I noticed my car still had not been moved from where I parked it and they had left my car unlocked the whole day (leaving my headunit sitting in my back seat). Being extremely upset that I had taken a day of leave (which can be very difficult as I have to give a lot of notice), had my car booked in and nothing had been done, I was very upset I wasn't even called. I could have taken my car elsewhere if they had let me know they were overbooked/ understaffed. Instead I had wasted a day and had to take it up with the store manager. Meanwhile the audio sales rep was trying to tell me my Honda accord euro is made in Europe because it has "euro"in the name (Honda cars are Japanese). Whether they were just over booked, or there was a mis-communication between staff, it was me as the customer who was worse off.

The audio installer claimed he was that busy he did not have time to call me, in fact nobody in the workshop had time for lunch. I wouldn't be surprised if he lied to me about briefly looking at my car. For what he claimed he did, he would have had to take out the driver seat and I doubt he would have done that in a car park (my car had not been moved). If he did detach my car seat in the car park that is extremely unprofessional.

I was also meant to buy a TV for my father. I'm not going to buy from these guys though.

I bought an Asus P5GDC deluxe motherboard from here that came without a CD for drivers and power pins bent. It ended up being faulty causing my computer to crash. It damaged my RAM. Luckily it was under warranty and was replaced. It did however take 2 months for it to be replaced. Once it was replaced, I still did not get a drivers CD...

Perhaps the cheapest place in Brisbane for computer parts. Very busy shop so be prepared to sit around and wait. You cannot be in a rush.

Approximate cost: $1500
