This is a Vietnamese bakery, so the French style loaves are brilliant and very cheap. There's a good selection of bread and cakes and you know they are fresh, because the older bread is sold at a special price on a separate rack. I'd rather support this small business than the national bakery chains.
We've been buying newspapapers, magazines and books here for years. There's a good selection of the latest books on offer, plus a wide range of magazines to cover most hobbies and interests. The bargain book tables on the street are always worth a look - sometimes it's possible to pick up books with very good discounts.
The staff are always helpful and efficient.
The whole extended family went on Mothers' Day for brunch. The food was excellent, good quality, fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were efficient and pleasant and didn't complain about mopping up a drink the kids spilled. It's a great place to take kids, as they can play within sight of adults when they're not eating.
The staff are friendly and well trained. They do a good job and keep up to date with trends. However, I do find them to be very expensive. I'm embarrassed at having to ask beforehand how much a particular servise is going to cost, but I get a bit of a shock when presented with the bill! For this reason, I don't go as often as I should.
Approximate cost: $140
We use then regularly for take-away meals. The food is reliably good and the staff are always friendly and efficient, however busy it is. As a vegetarian the selection is a bit limited for me, but there's always a choice of suitable items.
