As a new citizen of Perth, I am having fun exploring the cafe scene local to where I live. One of the first places I went to was a small cafe called IMP. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and basically Perth is closed for the day. Husband and I ventured out to do some house hunting and then decided to try and find somewhere for coffee before we went home. IMP happened to be open, so we ventured in. Quite a small but trendy establishment that was quite busy for that time of day. We decided to treat ourselves to something sweet as well after we checked out the cake display. I opted for a chocolate cheesecake(divine, melt in the mouth) and hubby chose sticky date pudding. Our coffees were served hot and strong and the cakes were exceptionally good. Overall our experience was very enjoyable and judging by the other customers looking and sounding relaxed they were enjoying themselves as well. I have been back with my children as an after school treat and then went with my Mum on Tuesday for lunch. I needed a 'nanna' nap after all my food(but alas work called and said I had to go in).
Would definately recommend IMP as a place to chill with friends and enjoy good food and service.

Contacted Clifton Payne via the local phone book. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted, and a rough sketch I had drawn. Clifton was prompt to answer his phone and to come around to hear what I wanted done. He understood my very bad drawing and then had some suggestions of his own, which added to my idea.
He got back to me with a quote and proper plans of what I wanted, within a week. It took a few weeks to be able to get back and do the install, but I was aware of this from the onset, and he kept in touch as to where things were at. The install was effeciently done, and my new cabinets and day bed have changed a junk room into a practical and attractive room.

Approximate cost: $5000

A group of us meet 3-4 times a year at this restaurant, mainly for their specialty...Chocolate Pizza.
The restaurant is at the city end of Lygon Street, and has both indoor and outdoor(heated in winter) dining areas. The place is always very busy, this sometimes means a bit of a wait for meals and drink service. The meals are large portions, with a large and varied selection to choose from. There are long-serving staff who seem to remember your face(or maybe our party is very loud and unforgettable lol). The "main man" is very interactive with the customers, and always has a few tricks up his sleeve....you never know what he will do next. Take a sense of humour as well as a good appetite.
