This review is for Broadway Kiosk, Glenelg South SA

When this kiosk was closed for months and months, while the council was trying to decide what to do with it, the locals missed it (myself included). While going on those lovely warm evening strolls in the summer, in had become a habit to pop in for an ice-cream. You sit and watch sunsets with said ice-cream and walk home feeling relaxed. In life you need to just slow down and breath and relax, and this kiosk is part of that. For a drink, and ice-cream or a sandwich, you pick it up from here and then breath in the sea air. This kiosk is perfectly located away from the buzz of Jetty Rd. This is where you come when you're sick of the school kids loitering in Mosley Square.

This is a great bakery. Come here if you want a birthday cake with a difference. I bought a box of cake selections for my partner for his birthday, and he loved it. The German cakes must be tried!! For anyone who loves a Black Forest cake or Beesting, no doubt you've already found this gem of a bakery. I would also recommend the meringue animals in the window and the almond croissants! Sweet-tooths heaven!

This review is for Fassina Liquor Merchants, Glenelg SA

I'm not a big wine drinker, so I rely on advice from my friends and liquor store staff on which wine to buy. The staff don't look like wine drinkers, but they know their products. I was shown a few different options and left own to decide for myself then - this is how I like it. They are also guaranteed to have bargains within a few metres of the front door for a quick pick up enroute to a friends place. There's always a competition or a bonus gift or a wine tasting at this store. And it's spacious enough, so you don't fell you'll hit hundreds of dollars worth of booze to the floor when you turn around in the rows.

They have very unique shoes, and import from Europe. They are a bit over-priced. Their end of season sales are good though I bought some wedges 60% off, but they are so 'different' that I've hardly worn them. They are very good quality, and for the eccentrics in Adelaide, you will pick up some shoes that will get noticed. I'd visit this store to see the different styles, but buying a pair from here (personally) I don't think I'd do again.

This review is for Price Attack, Glenelg SA

If you think all Price Attacks are the same, think again. I've had better cuts and better colours done from this Glenelg store than at Marion. The people there are friendly, but not over-friendly - they are just genuine and not superficial. They keep the colour records, so you can get your styke redone in the future or even just the roots touched up. They tell you cheaper options - looking out for us instead of profits. Their loyalty programs are great, and they accept the Entertainment card vouchers. I was told I had to work back 2 hours later, and they rearranged their schedule to put my appointment back one hour - and this was Christmas Eve!!! Anne-Marie (especially) is the best hairdresser!!

Everything is starting to look the same - you can pop into this store and see things you've seen elsewhere. The quality doesn't look cheap, but it doesn't have that 'quality' quality. It's good, but not fabulous. The prices are perhaps a bit high for what they sell, but when I went in there this week, and saw their sale prices, I was smiling. So, pop in to this store during their sales or you may be disappointed.

The people who work here look like they don't want to work here. And it seems the last two times I've bought things from here, I've been interrupting whatever they've been doing out the back. The produce is top quality and pretty affordable - Lenards can be a bit cheaper, especially when you buy bulk. It's conveniently located near Woolworths and Baker's Delight, so you can do your shopping without having to walk all over the place with a trolley. But, if you want to be welcomed, go upstairs to Lenards.

This review is for Commonwealth Bank, Oaklands Park SA

The bank still has an 'older feel' to it, probably overdue for a refit. The bank manager greets people when they walk in majority of the time I've been there. The people who work there are friendly and relaxed, and genuinely want to help you. Very happy with the service.

The coffee is top-notch!! Try something different and you wont be disappointed!! And they have gelati! Have you ever craved gelati and only found ice cream?? Come here and try their gelati! You'll walk passed and see a cabinet full of small meals - foccacias, etc. Sit here if you like watching the people walk by, otherwise take a coffee 'to go'.

This review is for Boost Juice, Oaklands Park SA

Love the juices, smoothies available here. Great when you don't have time for lunch - the smoothies are a meal in themselves. The people working here are very friendly, but I wish they all gave Westfield Staff discount without having to ask - I'm wearing the uniform, so ask me if I work in the centre. The banana bread is always lovely and fresh, and the winter soups are delicious.
