We had our department's x'mas party in Dec 2013 here. Since we pre-ordered our meals a few hours ago, we were able to request exactly what time we would like to have the meals served. I had the Chirpy Chicken turkey bread open grill (with mushroom and cheese on it). Not only it tasted delicious but the salad was also very fresh. Would have been better and more value to have more salad on the side. One of my colleages ordered the vegetarian pasta which also looked very colourful and appetising.

Approximate cost: $10-25

This review is for Natural Noodle, Booral QLD

Natural Noodles is one of the best fast food places in Hervey Bay. It's located in the heart of the town, providing ease of access to yummy Asian meals. The menu clearly describes what are the main ingredients used in that particular meal; and the prices are bargain. Because of the rather large portion sizes (thanks to the takeaway boxes' capacity), I love to save some for leftover for the next day. My favourite is the Nasi Goreng fried rice.

At Maryborough RSL, the Roast of the day is a bargain to get you fresh meat & veg over the day. They also have lunchtime specials at $12.50 and other dinner deals on some weekdays - great for if you think the other meals are relatively costly but still want to try their food. I think you get Birthday Vouchers worth over $20.00 if you join their full membership which costs $11.00. They have got your birthday meal covered!

This review is for Little Singapore Restaurant, Sunnybank QLD

One of the best thing about Little Singapore is the range of Asian meals and snacks you can choose from the menu, as well as the generous portion size that come in a very reasonable price. I often order the combination seafood noodles because it is served with thin rice noodles which I don't often cook at home. The location of the restaurant is in a prime spots; but parking there can be a challenge especially on the weekend/public holiday. Prepare to wait a little while during peak hours (mealtimes) as all the seats can be taken up fast.

This review is for Wagaya, Fortitude Valley QLD

The Wgaya menu has heaps of pictures/photos of the meals, snacks and drinks, making it easier to decide what you want to it by knowing what to expect. The ordering system is through a flat monitor and you basically touch-screen to make your selections. What a fantastic way to save time when you don't have to wait for waiters/waitresses to take your order! The meals have pretty authentic Asian/Japanese tastes to them which I love. The seating arrangements are very much like Japanese, some of which you have to seat on the floor (in a bigger group) - interesting environment compared to other Asian restaurants. But the place is often fully booked, and it took me a few attempts on the phone to get through and make a reservation though. I guess it's just way too popular!

The reason I decided to try the pies in this shop was I read that it was the ?top 30 pies shop in ?Australia a few years ago. The pie shop has definitely been nicely renovated to be a brighter and easier spot (green colour) that attract people on the street to pop in and have a look at their range of pies and pastries. The pies are so crispy and beautiful that you just want to go for a second one; or buying another more for your family members to try! Strongly recommend the having the fruit tart to finish off your meal with.

My colleagues and I once ordered take away lunch specials. It was rather hard to get hold of the ordering because we the phone would just either ring out or is engaged. (Perhaps we were not ringing at the right time?) The varieties on the menu are more than what I expected though. I ordered the black bean beef stir fry with rice, but the sauce was a little too salty for my liking. Would prefer to have less sauces next time.

This review is for China World, Torquay QLD

The dishes in China World offer both authentic and Westernised Chinese cuisines. Jenny the owner is extremely friendly to the customers. She would even come out of the kitchen whenever she is there at the restaurant, ensuring that we are happy with the meals ordered. They also have a takeaway section on the other side of the restaurant, which doesn't interrupt the dining experience of other consumers. The meals especially the seafood and veg are very fresh. Will definitely pay another visit.

I once had dinner there with my friends. It started off with a lovely evening with the cool breeze in the summer. Then after we ordered our meals, it started raining and eventually, the wind blew so hard that we had rain coming through the plastic fabric barriers, wetting and cooling down our nice hot meals. If only there were any spaces inside the cafe, it would have been much better. I am sure though on a sunny day, it is extremely pleasant to see the ocean view. Desserts (cheesecakes) are are must to try!

This review is for Sussan, Booral QLD

It may not be a big store like Myers or David Jones, but Sussan has so many different items especially designed for young women. Other than the clothes items, I love the gift ideas such as motivational cards and accessories like bags, jewellery and scarfs. You can join their VIP club to earn points. Once you reach a certain level, you get some great discounts from the store. The sales lady even remembers my name! You will feel really welcomed shopping there.
