I'm a very big fan of TGI Friday, and eat at the Epping restaurant on a regular basis. But this night we found ourselves down chapel street and thought we would eat familiar food.

This dining experience was a disaster from the word go.
Over an hour wait just to take our orders. Understandable on a Friday or Saturday night......NOT a Tuesday! The food came before our drinks arrived.
When the waitress was asked if the veggie burger was able to be eaten by a vegan she replied yes...then thought about it and checked with the kitchen. She returned to inform us that it was suitable for vegans.

When the burger arrived, my vegan friend checked the burger and found smearings of margarine or butter on the bun, even though he had asked for no butter or margarine, or cheese or mayonaise.
After questioning the waitress about the spread she replied that it was oil for the veggie patty. We informed her that our friend was allergic to dairy products hence why we were so fussy, so she went back to ask the kitchen to make sure, and this time came back saying it was margarine or butter and the veggie patty also contains cheese.

So while 3 of us ate our dinner, my friend ate fries.

To top it all off, when we saw our bill, we were charged for the veggie burger that could not be eaten and for the complimentary bowl of fries and had to wait another 30mins just to sort out the bill because the manager was on a break or so we were told.

Fantastic !!!

Like stepping into an American Diner from the 50's. The burgers tasted amazing. Its hard to try different menu options when you want to enjoy the meal you ate last time again!
