Lovely atmosphere and excellent menu. I love the painting they have on the wall!
Food is slightly expensive though.

There seem to be a bit of grumpy old man hang out here, but come at lunch time for their $10 specials which is good value. Service is a little stratchy and the place isn't always clean... however go upstairs and you do get comfortable lounges and probably a bit more private area for group gatherings.

For an inner west pub Harold Park hotel is a great place to hang out. We love Friday nights when you get to 'Toss the Boss' - you flip a coin and if you guess heads and tails correctly you get your drinks free!!! The atmosphere is great and the seating areas are clean and tidy. The race course is about to be demolished but I hope these guys stay because it's just a great little pub to go to after work.
It's a great little place if you just want a nice Japanese lunch without the price tag. Their lunch specials are pretty good value, however considering it's only a small family owned restaurant, it's nothing fancy and not always the best food. Their soups can get a little too salty but rice and sushi dishes are good.

It's disappointing that for a cafe with a great location and set up, that it's not well run and managed. The owner wasn't nasty or anything, but the service was just really distant and cold. Coffee wasn't that great and the scones came with out of the jar jam and canned whipped cream. While we were eating, the owners sat down with some of their friends and started joking loudly about who is good in bed which I thought was inappropriate as two tables from us was a family with kids having breakfast.
I just didn't feel like it was a pleasant cafe experience.

They have good meal deals, but I felt in terms of food and service this place is quite average. I didn't really like their sushi, but they do make good ramen noodle soups!

We had a great time at Zinc. Ordered a pizza to share between two people which was enough for both of us, even though it wasn't excellent pizza, but that's great value. The staff was really really friendly and the place was clean and tidy. They have some really yummy cakes too!

What I like about Totoya is that its very homey. It doesn't feel like you are just being served 'western' Japanese (if you know what I mean!) - I love their grilled dishes, and their sushi boat is so fresh and good value!
The only downside is, most of the time I find their wait staff can't speak English properly, and a lot of the time they do get orders wrong, and they have no idea what you are talking about. However, nothing serious a smile cannot fix!
Approximate cost: $18
The owner seems to know a lot about shoes, and you can bet that she has the shoes just for you! There are always new things to check out and beautiful gift ideas that you can't get in big department stores. I love just coming here to browse!
We all agree that this is the best Chinese in Coffs Harbour. Not only do they serve excellent food, the staff are always friendly!
