This review is for PetVets, Petersham NSW

I take my cats to Emily because she truly loves them. She and her team of vets are true animal lovers and knows what its like being the owner of a sick pet.
They also do run a city style boarding, but due to limited space they have quite small cages for cats, which I don't prefer. Otherwise all other services are great and highly recommended.

This review is for West Ryde Veterinary Clinic, West Ryde NSW

I came here as my adopted cat was desexed here and there were some complications with her stitches. Understandably it was 7pm and they probably were waiting to go home, but I felt that the assistant and the vet simply did not care about the cat at all. They were obviously dog people? Because the patient before us was a large dog and they were both cooing over him, however when I took the cat into the room, there was no meet and greet, no any sort of care towards the little kitten, simply just a point, rub and "you'll be right" attitude which I really wasn't impressed with.

If a vet or their assistant have a choice of animals they prefer to be with, then they don't fit to be vets. I will never take my cats there again, even in emergency. There are other vets around that cares for all animals, great or small.

Very authentic Malaysian cuisine and prices are very reasonable. I don't think I've ever had a disappointing meal here!

This review is for Clydesdales Horse Drawn Restaurant, Windsor NSW

While the idea of eating on a horse drawn cart is quite romantic, the reality is, it's bumpy and hard to relax when you have to concentrate hard to make sure you don't drop your food.
The cart does take you around Windsor and show some bits of sights here and there, but you don't really see all that much while trying to eat anyway.
Staff is really good, very attentive and the food is good. It was a novel experience, just don't think I'll do it again.

This review is for Taste Of Shanghai, Eastwood NSW

verified email - 09 Dec 2010

This place used to be a down to earth, good value Chinese restaurant until the recent (2010) renovation which introduced fancy decor and seating, a bigger price tag and smaller servings. However I would still recommend it for some authentic Shanghai cuisine. Service can be quite bad, depending on who serve you. When one of our dishes didn't arrive in 40 mins and we asked for it to be checked, we were given a slightly annoyed rely that the dish will come when it comes, and that they need to make the dish for the rest of the restaurant that have been there before us. We can hardly believe that the rest of the restaurant had ordered the same dish!
Having said that, it's another one that you would just come for the food.

This review is for Eastwood Garden Peking Restaurant, Eastwood NSW

verified email - 09 Dec 2010

Peking duck is quite cheap here compared to the rest of Sydney, and the place is great with their 'afternoon tea' specials for around $7. However, food is quite greasy here and often you simply just can't get serviced as the place can get really busy. Overall it's not a bad place, but not the best Chinese available in the area either.

This review is for Temasek Restaurant, Parramatta NSW

This place has a long history of serving good Singapore and Malaysian cuisine in Parramatta. I love their sambal vegetables and laksa. I can't fault their food, the service is just a bit rushed. Just come for the food :)

This review is for Jimmy's Recipe Malaysia, Sydney NSW

Extremely at lunch time during business hours. Jimmy's have an excellent selection of authentic Malaysian cuisine in a very crowded walk-way in the Galeries Victoria. The food really is quite good and good price range as well, I just don't enjoy fighting the crowd just to have lunch.

This review is for Doytao Thai, Glebe NSW

verified email - 09 Dec 2010

The Doytao Thai in Glebe is very small and in today's hot weather and no air-con, very very warm. I ordered a Laksa and it felt like I was having noodles soaked in sauce. It was thick, not very flavoursome, and I simply didn't enjoy it. While all other places offer lunch deals for less than $10, this laksa had cost me $11.90, which I thought wasn't worth it.
Disappointing, as I know the Doytao brand is quite well-known.

This review is for Thai Remedy, Balmain NSW

I came here because I was given a voucher. I did not expect it to be any different to any other Thai massage places I've been, however I was pleasantly surprised. Staff are excellent and friendly, and the massage is top quality. The place is bright and clean and they ensure that you have a totally relaxed time all the way to the end. I wish I lived closer so I can visit all the time! Highly recommended.
