We stopped in here for a drink on our girls weekend away. Lady serving at the bar was really friendly and had a good old chat with us. The she placed our four wine glasses upside down on the bar - errr YUK!! - before getting our bottle of wine and placing it in a wine bucket. We made our way out to the back verandah, passing the smelly mens toilets on the way. It was the company that made this visit so enjoyable, but the hotel needs a serious overhaul, even the carpet is really outdated.

We spent an evening at the club in early February. We ate in the Sea Salt Restaurant, I ordered a half serve of Chicken Schnitzel with a dijonaisse dressing. Personally I thought the half serve was the exact same size as the full serve schnitzel my friend ordered. Mine was absolutely delicious. For the price of a half serve I thought it was fantastic value. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge area, but were still able to hear the musician playing and we later moved into the area nearer the dance floor....which we were on most the evening. Staff were friendly, food was really tasty and the drinks were reasonably priced.

I met three others for a coffee last week. Our order was a bannana smoothie, soy mocha, a weak soy mocha and a Latte. Staff were friendly condsidering there was a constant flow of customers. Our drinks were delivered to our table however the staff member forgot to announce one of the mocha's as the weak one and the drinks were given to the wrong customer. My Latte was really nice. It was hot and I really enjoyed it. My friend who had the Soy Mocha weak also commented on how nice her drink was. Would definitely return here again for a coffee.

We have tried a lot of pizza in our time and definitely have our favourites, but always try others. Fantastic menu variety, so much to choose from. Kids size pizzas were only 6.50 each so a real bargain. BYO corkage is complimentry which is an awesome drawcard if there are a number of you dining. It is very much a cafe casual atmosphere which I loved and the staff were so friendly and always smiling. The pizza bases were really nice, thin but not so crunchy that we couldn't eat the crust, I loved them. We ordered kids pizzas which were good sizes, however they appeared to have spent just a little too long in the oven and the cheese had started to turn brown and there was none of that lovely peel off your face stringy cheese when the kids ate them. The adults ordered a 'Thai' and an 'Ocean Supreme' pizza. The chicken topping the pizza was of great quality and well proportioned over the pizza. Only one slice of the Thai actually tasted Thai. This one piece had a sprinkle of roasted cashews and a good taste of Thai flavours, however the rest of the pizza just tasted bland. I didn't even know the 'Ocean Supreme' had sweet chilli sauce on it until I re read the menu because I didn't taste it on my pizza. There was a good spread of prawns and calamari across the pizza, each slice had a both on them. This was my favourite of the two pizzas, however again the pizza tasted a little bland and it just seemed to be missing something. I'm sure they do some sensational pizzas as there was a continuous flow of customers in and out and there appeared to be regulars sitting at tables nearby. The pizzas tasted 'nice' and we certainly ate pretty much all the pizzas, but there was no real 'WOW' factor to their taste that would have me wanting to hurry back there again. Their pizzas are definitely good value for the sizes we left full.

Parking in Manly is terrible and the parking areas near the Waterworks are only 2 hours. The Rangers do patrol the area, so you may be better off parking a distance away and walking or taking public transport. We celebrated my daughter's birthday and invited nearly 20 children. There are 3 waterslides for the kids and they only came out from sliding when they were hungry or cold or at kick out time. As we booked for a group over 10 we were provided with a little table and set up ready for the children coming out for food and drinks. The staff are really pro active if the kids muck up and they get a time out if caught stopping in the tunnels or basically being silly, but this doesn't happen too often. The kids had a ball and all said they were sore the next day at school, having run up the ramp that leads to the top of the slides many times during the afternoon. Definitely one of the easier parties I have run.

I met my sister for lunch. We sat outside the cafe which is close to Mona Vale Road, but we never did notice the traffic noise. The cafe is in a bush setting which makes the ambience quite relaxing. Water is not brought to the table it is help yourself at the water fountain. The glasses were dirty with dried water marks which we cleaned before using them. It is a simple menu, but plenty of variety to choose from. It is order and pay at the counter with numbered table service. I had the Zucchini and corn fritter with bacon, avocado and creme fraiche. I think my fritter was slightly undercooked, it still looked battery, but it was just so delicious. We ordered a Latte each, mine was really nice, however as the crowd grew and we ordered another Latte, the second was not very nice at all. We only saw two staff. The one at the counter inside the cafe and the one near the end of our visit when she cleared the table. There is the Flower Market for a spot of shopping, but we ran out of time, that will be on to do list the next time I visit.

Our party of four visited last week for a birthday lunch. The cafe is BYO and the corkage charge was incredibly cheap. We did have to ask to place our order which was fine as they were with us within a minute. The meals were huge. I had the wrap with ham, brie and onion jam and it was fantastic value. Would suggest you visit on an empty stomach as the meals are large and it is hard to leave any behind on the plate. All the staff were friendly not only to us but to other tables. I will definitely go back again.

I received a gift voucher for my birthday and booked a 1/2 leg wax in early December. The lady on the front desk Danielle is a really nice friendly lady. Made me feel so welcome. My appointment was with Katie and she was just fantastic. Really friendly, felt very comfortable with her and she did a wonderful job waxing my legs. A very thorough going over my legs was made, to be sure no stray hair was left behind. In fact as I type this in late December, the hair has only just started to pop back through. I am really happy with the waxing and would definitely recommend. My only negative is the price. It is $10 dearer than my usual beautician.

I decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat, knowing time would be short for lunch after grocery shopping. It was raining outside in the first few days of December and I was starving. So I ordered a Latte and a breakfast wrap. Oh my gosh it was sensational. The wrap had bacon, scrambled egg, lettuce, spanish onion, tomato and bbq sauce in it. It could easily have been shared between two people, but really glad I wasn't sharing it. I ate the whole thing, really really tasty. The staff were friendly and delivered the meal and coffee quicker than I expected and it was all made to perfection. Was much easier shopping with a full belly and I didn't need lunch or even an afternoon snack that day.

We went strawberry picking after lunch and well it didn't take long to fill up our bucket. It cost $3 per person to go ito the fields and we received a small container to fill. Then on return we paid $9 per kilo for the strawberries, but WOW what yummy strawberries. Hard to go back to the supermarket bought ones after you've picked them straight from the plant yourself.

Also a great assortment of jams and sauces available for purchase. Many of which I can't buy in NSW stores.
