I visited this place twice.
The first time I bought the chicken salad wrap which they had to make as the ready mades had sold out.
Well worth the 3-5 minute wait. The lettuce and carrot were crisp and the chicken tender. The Pita was fresh as well. Yum.
The next day I hit the crowds. This place is POPULAR. I had decided I would try their hot dog with the lot. YUM doesn't do it justice. From the fresh and I mean fresh Riviera bakery roll toasted ever so slightly to the sausage to the bacon, the onion not overly caramalized, just the way I like it, to the just the right amount of Tasty cheese melted on top and Not drowned in sauce, it was light as a marshmellow. I thought the hot dog, $7.30, would not fill me up and bought a muffin which was Also fresh.
Boy was I wrong. I'm a biggish eater but this hot dog was enough without making me sick. I ate the muffin that evening at home and it was still in great condition.
Problem - if its raining there is little or no undercover space and when its busy you could be waiting up to 10 mins.
In the summer there are plenty of tables under umbrella's.
Pro's - Its popular. Can have half a dozen people at any one time for 10 or minutes constantly and that's without having to make coffees and that's because they recommend their rolls and wraps @ $8 ea be eaten fresh and it looks like people come for truely fresh. While waiting for my hot dog I only saw one toasted sandwich go out. Everything was fresh rolls to go.

Approximate cost: $8

always worth googling before shopping. My brother did this for some razor blades he needed and saved himself between $7-$12 from known Coles and Woolworths products.
small shop but easy to see each product.
Also carries some hairdryers and electronic food exfoliators and that's only what I saw in the 90 seconds we were there.
Friendly staff who point out which is the bargain. Unfortunately we didn't need the upside pack. :P
My only criticism is that get a few customers at once and you it would be too crowded hence the over all score. I like my personal space. :P
Definitely worth checking out before next razor purchase

All Quest accommodation is franchise owned.
I chose this quest to be closer to a friend and because he kept talking up the suburb.
The only reason why you would stay in Ivanhoe is because you have family and friends who live in suburbs close by, have access to a car, are attending a conference at the venue or want to revue all the food places here.
The hotel itself is neat, very clean with extremely polite and helpful staff.
I stayed in a one bedroom apartment for $230/night flexi rate.
There was debate over parking. Some staff would tell me that I needed to book in advance and was $10/night and I had another staff member tell me it was included in my rate and I didnt need to book at the time as they werent at capacity.
The bed unfortunately is a double bed.
No tv in the bedroom
All appliances including washing machine and dryer are Fisher and Paykel and very easy to use.
You only get 1 dishwasher tablet which isnt enough let alone when there is no housekeeping on Sundays and public holidays.
The shower is in the bathtub.
towels really arent big or soft enough especially for a larger person. I like bath sheets.
Dining table has seating for 4 people which is a good size.
The tea, coffee and sugar were a little difficult to spot
You should have dinner setting and glasses for 4 people. If not ask reception to bring more.
Only 2 bins. one in kitchen under the sink and one in the bathroom.
The bathroom is near the front door not ensuite. Typical of the apartments being built in Melbourne right now.
If you suffer sleep apnoea you will need to ask for a double adapter. the spare plugs are on the wall opposite the bed for some unknown reason.
You will find a small box of tissues under the basin in the bathroom. You will need to ask if you need another as it is the one thing they dont seem to check.
Housekeeping staff are polite quick and efficient. Take advantage if you have paid the price for daily housekeeping. You are on holidays so why should you be the one to take the rubbish out to the shute. lol
The balcony area is a fair size how ever I had a north south facing one which meant I did not have enough sun. Until this trip in Melbourne where I experienced true Melbourne weather for the first time, I hadnt realized how important it was for me.
There is a fantastic chinese restaurant directly across the road and very good woolworths and bws next door.

The measure of a good pizza is if it can be eaten cold or the next day and still taste fantastic. This place does not disappoint.
On the recommendation of a local I rang and ordered pizza to be delivered.
Medium Boss Special + Medium Marinara + 1.25 lt Pepsi - $32 including delivery.
On their website they mention 40 min wait for delivery orders. I rang peak time 7pm so expected to wait,
Well worth the wait.
Unless you are a big eater difficult to eat a medium in one sitting. Toppings Toppings Toppings.
The only flaw on the marinara is no anchovies. Didnt think to ask.
Definitely a place to keep in mind on my next visit to Melbourne/Ivanhoe March 2018.
p.s if you are staying at the Quest in Ivanhoe, they will call when close and its a great idea to meet them at reception.

this is one of the few original style fish and chip shops around.
tried this place on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area.
ordered the chicken burger lunch special which included 2 fish cakes + drink for $10 and the fish pack which had one piece of fish + chips + salad for $12.
Hint never go food shopping when you are Hungry. lol
the gentleman serving me was friendly.
I could have had my fish grilled but its been a long time since I've had traditional fish and chips from a fish and chippery so fried it was.
Most places dont add any dressing to their salad but this place does and I'm very greatful for that.
I dont know if it was because I was the only person in the shop but great care was taken when adding salt to the chips and potato cakes.
The chicken in the burger was quite thin but very tasty.
Unfortunately the batter on the fish cakes so thick it reminded me of greek tiganites (pancake version of a loukoumada)
If you want a nice simple uncomplicated menu from a traditional basic fish and chip shop then this is a good place to go to

I visited here to get some take away 3 times in 5 days.
I have tried 5 entres, 3 soups, a noodle dish and the pork ribs peking style.
The Chicken sweet corn soup not bad, san choi bau good but not my type of dish (my first try).
The home made Dim Sim, Deep fried dumplings and shredded duck soups are super stars.
The Combination Noodles, soft noodles, smelt like an asian grocer. very authentic and flavoursome.
Good serving sizes. Easy to get a few dishes, split them in half and have a banquet over a few nights

I have never had a sushi sandwhich until I saw it and tried it here. Some very different choices at great prices. I had the salmon sushi sandwich, tempura veggie nigiri, grilled scallop nigiri and crab stick salad Inari. $8.70 total.
my first inari and well I think I prefer the other types. will definitely try more.
Pity they arent in Adelaide CBD

great place to go with friends if you are a big eater.
great schnitzels.
not greasy
big serves
lots to choose from even vegetarian
not too noisy
had the Godra which was a melt in your mouth large chicken schnitzel topped with a gorgeous cransky best onion rings ever 3 prawns and the most gorgeous champagne sauce ever.
the chips are thick cut and non greasy as well
great balsamic based dressing for the salad which could have used another slice of cucumber and perhaps a little red or spring onion for extra zing
you cant hurry the eating of these meals. a friend of mine had the chicken stacked salad and couldnt finish it.
would love to try their ulitmate schnit which is a chicken schnitzel that covers the large plate with 2-3 large meatballs topped with cheese as a side dish
in a group of 6 people no 2 people had the same dish which is often the case and we all agreed definitely a place to return to.
downfall was one or two ingredients missing from salad and Norwoods lack of parking

Very helpful. Genuine. Family owned business.
Not the most expensive but not the cheapest. We went with them because they came across as genuine with prompt detailed quotes. Quotes include units plus installation. No mess no fuss.
They were prompt. Delivered on exactly what they promised.
Had 2 x 3.5 horsepower Daikins put in. One back to back the other had to be placed about 3 metres away. Crew arrived 8am and left completely finished including cleaning up 1pm same day.
Only sell Daikin which suit us fine.
