Was expecting to go here for just a coffee but we decided to have something to nibble on. There is plenty to choose from and great prices e.g $8-$13.
I had the hot dog which like a cabana on a toasted brioche bun which was as light as air, cost $8
A friend of mine got the calamari and salad for $13. the salad looked different to anything I have seen before and the calamari was cut into long thin strips. apparently it was very well done and for calamari and salad at this price I think the serving size was excellent value.
the third person in our group got the polenta chips for $10.
There were 6 very large logs of fried polenta presented with a small tub of 2 sauces. very nice except they were under seasoned. they actually made me want to look up a recipe for polenta chips.
The staff are very friendly and acknowledge there was a problem they have been trying to address with the building owner with regard to one of the female loos. the loos are actually shared with Stellas next door and to their credit they did take action quickly so that no one could use it.
One downfall I guess was that we were seated too close to the live music - guitarist/vocalist which at times seemed loud and made conversation a little difficult at times but I would definitely like to come here again to try more of their share dishes and even their burgers. Great for the budget minded unless you're including alcohol. LOL

had read a lot of rave reviews through one review site and few bad ones on another. Suffice to say I went in with an open mind and yes I found it very average at best.
The place is very clean, the employees well presented with great aprons how ever ......
When arriving there was a table that had been vacated and full of plates, leftovers and pizza trays sitting there for 20 minutes or more and another table was not cleaned for at least 10 minutes. It was not fully booked.
there is no multitasking between staff - e.g drink/coffee staff only touch drink/coffee parafanalia.
The food came out within an acceptable time frame. Prices average so about $21-$24 for main courses.
I ordered a tortellini con pollo main and the only difference between the look in size between it and a friends entree carbonara was the plate size. Another friend that had the gnocci agreed with myself because his serving size looked like mine. he thought maybe the entre plate was a little shallower. Hard to tell.
Another friend of mine had the spaghetti marinara and that looked nice as well as a generous serving.
the fifth person had a calzone that looked big but didnt look like it had enough sauce.
the water was nice and cold which I loved.
My con pollo .... well ..... the chicken was dry and quite a few pieces tasted pan burnt and the capsicum tasted of vinegar suggesting they used store bought jar marinated capsicum strips which added to the acidity of the tomato and all I could taste was vinegar.
The tortellini itself had no flavour. I guess it was al dente but you could not tell what meat was inside. It was very firm and perfectly uniform.
At the top of the menu they DO state they use Barilla pasta so long life dry pasta rather than fresh.

Absolutely loved it.
unfortunately there arent enough low seats for those of us who arent as tall or as nimble.
there is space how ever for 5 people not to peddle and you can have a person stand in the middle.
used this service for our work christmas celebrations and absolutely adored it.
its a long bike with a bar to hold onto and cup holders for your drink.
you are only allowed to drink while on the bike.
you go on a two hour tour around adelaide with time depending one or two pub stops.
you get a further two top up stops.
hiring the bike costs $400 and caters for 16 people.
drinks are pre-ordered and pre-paid before day of booking.
you peddle and dance to music from speakers while waiving at traffic and having photos and videos taken by tourists.
soooo much fun.
we did a daytime ride i.e morning. they do them at night as well but be warned its popular getting closer to christmas so book well in advance. great for something different.
staff are very friendly and that certainly helps those of us who start of wary as to what its going to be like

unfortunately we were here only for a short time as part of another activity. we got here just before opening time.
I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and its beer garden which has hanging pot plants on a wall and some wrought iron gates and other stuff adorning the feature brick walls.
the barkeep was very friendly.
certainly a hidden gem as far as I'm concerned.
would love to try a lunch here sometime

went there for work christmas lunch.
they spelt the name of the person who booked it wrong.
very good decor. better than the pictures on their website.
boss ordered some cheese herb pizza bread which also comes in gluten free. It was gorgeous
unfortunately I ordered the moroccan chicken burger as I found the menu less than inspiring and this was the best I thought.
unfortunately there was not enough dressing/sauce. could not taste the flavours of the the chicken over the bitterness of the large amount of arugula. The tomato had no salt what so ever to bring out its natural flavours.
the brioche bun was dry and tasteless. it crumbled when trying to cut bite size pieces. could not cut small enough pieces to be able to eat with dignity
the chips on the other hand were very nice indeed.
if you are lucky to get a booth in the beer garden, they spray a lovely cool mist from height to help cool you down on a hot day. very much needed as the beer garden is behind high brick walls with limited air flow.
I would go back how ever just to try their cumby burger. be warned I saw the size of that thing. its massive

wanted something quick warm and different for lunch trouble was I had trouble limiting my choices and it was cold by the time I took the food to my hotel room.
unfortunately because of the nature of the food i.e made for people to eat on the go, the food was not put into thermal container.
It was how ever very reasonably priced and great tasting.
I bought the takoyaki, scallop, chicken dim sum on stick, the chicken skewer and the spring roll. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Unfortunately like most places in southern cross station, the hot food stops by a certain time and closed by about 7pm.
Doesnt help a tourist who is looking for inspiration in desperation. lol

I went in here looking for a particular style wallet and spare long handbag straps
I always thought this place was very expensive but I was wrong.
The owner of the store has been in the travel and bag industry for over 30 years.
She carries out some repairs on the premises, there is little she doesnt know about luggage and has nothing but the best suitcases.
I dont believe you will find luggage this light and this durable any where else in Adelaide.
She is well worth the visit if you are looking for that unique piece that will with stand battering without sacrificing weight

Oh how I love this place.
I knew there was a shop in Melbourne where most things were less than $3 and my friend was happy to let me know both the name and the location.
WOW! there are things here starting from about 80c for gift bags, ranging thought to about $8 but most things are either $2.80 or 2 for $2.80.
Not only are there basic home wares but Japanese food for $2, gift ware, tissue paper 2 for $2.80 and on and on and on.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and let me know that Adelaide will soon be getting 3 Daiso stores. I hope they're as good as this one others I'm going to be spending every trip to Melbourne stocking up on a few things. Talk about excess luggage. :P

My friend recommended this place as having the best char grilled calamari and she was not wrong.
I also had the greek salad which unfortunately had too much lemon on it and the sweet potato cake which was a nice surprise. Although fried there was not too much batter, it was crispy and not greasy.
The decor is simple, old classic done with a modern twist just like the meals.
Not a very large venue but big enough.
Its only about a 5 minute walk up puckle street from the moonee ponds railway station. sooo easy to find.
This is another favourite place I have added to my places to visit next time I'm in Melbourne.

went here for dessert and coffee.
lovely friendly staff. Family owned.
there was a large group there and the staff appologised a few times for the noise. no problems.
I had the berry crepes and my friend had the biggest, freshest home made tiramisu I have ever seen.
Excellent value for money.
Kept looking at the pizzas coming out for the group already there and guess what, I am going to make a point to go back for pizza when I'm next in Melbourne
