We ordered a special cake from Zest for a friend's birthday. The staff were friendly and very helpful in describing all the types of cakes available and sizes. We ended up ordering a 27cm square mudcake for the occasion which gave us around twenty five servings. The cake was moist and delicious and all the guests enjoyed it. Zest's cakes are expensive so I would recommend Zest for special occasion cakes.

This hairdressing salon/barber shop has been Thorby's Arcade for years. This is a simple, no fuss hairdressers where appointments aren't necessary. They are great with kids and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. Also very budget friendly. Ample parking at the back of the arcade (i.e Coles parking lot). Highly recommend.

Attended a Christmas Function at Jazzveh last year. It is little restaurant tucked into the Bella Visit industrial estate. The restaurant is quite inviting with warm chocolate brown on the walls, a wood fire oven and view of the river/creek. Our function was on a Saturday afternoon so parking was OK, the food was really good and of an authentic Italian style. Staff were friendly and overall was a great dining experience.

This is not an ordinary hair salon, this is a happy stress free environment where you can relax, have your hair washed and expertly styled and walk out feeling amazing. The staff are very friendly and there was no waiting for the appointment. Their prices are in the medium-high end so I would recommend this for a great re-style or for special occasions as their hair styling is amazing.

I found this site a few months ago when looking for a dentist in my area and has since joined myself. So far WOMO has provided the opportunity via your member's review for me to find and utilize new small businesses in the Sydney area. It is so difficult to pick a business from the yellow pages so being able to read someone's personal account of their experience is invaluable. We visited this business because they were recommended for their excellent Stainless Steel welding work. We rang to confirm his opening hours because he doesn't have a website but were disapointed when we turned up and he wasn't there (early afternoon on a weekday). After another phone call, he turned up 15 minutes later and we left the project with him. It was ready the next day and the welding was flawless. This isn't a big company but the price is very reasonable and it is definitely worth the visit.

Needed to get some stainless steel pipes bent for a home improvement project. We visited them on a Saturday for a quote and dropped off the pipes on Monday. The pipes were ready for pickup that Thursday, very happy with the job, the angles were right and the tubing was not pinched on the inner bend nor stretched on the outer. Fine job and very professional.

I visited this business with an elderly friend to help her complete an outstanding tax return. We asked to speak to the owner, whom she had previously dealt with, but was told the business had changed hands a few years ago. The tax agent who we sat down with seemed flustered and distracted. His overall professionalism was lacking but he did have access to the tax portal so after an hour the return was done. Overall the service was OK but there was no WOW.

This is a small accounting firm that does accounting, tax returns and financial planning. I have used them a few times for my annual returns and found them to be polite and efficient but nothing exceptional. I went to Nicholas Harrow based on a friends recommendations and they were conveniently located near the West Ryde Station. I stopped going there after they mailed my return to the wrong address and I found someone who provided the same level of service for a cheaper price.

These guys were hired to remove a large dead gum tree from my friend's backyard. They were turned up on time to inspect the tree and provide an obligation free quote. They also rang the day before they were scheduled to come to confirm the booking. On the day of the tree removal a team of three guys turned up, they disassembled the clothes line and we asked them to try and not damage any of the existing fruit trees in the yard. After a few hours the tree was gone and no surrounding trees were damaged. They worked non stop from start to finish, were confident in everything they did and were very nice people. Price was similar to other quotes we received but the service was excellent.
