Had to board my German Shepherd dog at short notice due to being admitted to hospital. The AWL were able to take in my dog at short notice, and were very accommodating re having a big dog (many boarding kennels won't take big dogs)

The kennels didn't smell at all, were clean and cool in summer, and the staff were very attentive

My only concern? They wanted to keep my dog permanently! LOL

I will definitely be using them again

Approximate cost: $25 per day or part thereof

I was part of a group of 18 for my nephew's 12th birthday (there were diners at only 3 other tables on a Sunday evening). The menu wasn't very adventurous (standard steak, schnitzel, salt & pepper squid etc)
It began badly with the garlic bread - 4 slices of bread roll, barely room temperature, with the garlic butter not even melted into the bread
While the staff seemed friendly and helpful, they were severely let down by the kitchen. A lamb yiros salad turned out to be over-cooked beef, fat and sinew; that was replaced by a grilled chicken asian salad, which turned out to be very dry chicken accompanied by julienned red cabbage, carrot, spring onion, capsicum and noodles. In fact, it looked exactly like the "garnish" placed on my steak. It wasn't eaten, and money was refunded
My $29 scotch fillet, while very tender as it should be, was so charred on the outside that all I could taste was char; I couldn't taste the meat at all, just a charcoal taste and texture; it was very unappetising, and left unfinished. Another person had their medium steak cooked to well done.
Two of the kids had pizza (apparently they have a wood-fired oven). This was nowhere to be seen in the pizzas that were delivered to the table, with the pizzas being overloaded with cheese and little flavour
The chicken schnitzels were over-crumbed, over-cooked, and appeared mass-manufactured; definitely not enjoyable, especially for the prices paid
The consensus was that none of us would be returning, ever, and no doubt that message is going to be spread

I had to use this kennel for the first time, as my regular was full (I had to go interstate on short notice)

They seemed nice on the phone, and checked for vaccinations etc, though they didn't offer a tour of their facilities, which my regular one does. Not having time, I didn't ask...my mistake.

On picking up my dog (a German Shepherd) 3 days later, he seemed OK. I got him into the back of the car, and when I then sat in the driver's seat, I was nearly overcome by the awful stench being emitted by my dog's coat (all the windows were up); I actually gagged several times. I had to drive back into town with all the windows open, and even then the smell was awful. It smelled like he'd been laying in weeks old dog urine! I had to take him to a dog groomers to have him washed immediately, it was so bad

Approximate cost: $140

I was part of a large birthday group, which dined here on a not too busy evening. Took a while for orders to be taken (approx 45 mins) but meals came out fairly promptly. Some diners loved what they ordered, others (like me) didn't. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, which came complete with a pre-cooked, refrigerated poached egg (ie a very cold egg!) tiny cubes of chicken, and all covered with grated, (ie pre-packaged) parmesan, that tasted like that horrid stuff in cans (you all know the brand). I couldn't make out the individual flavours of chicken, bacon, dressing or even lettuce! I also couldn't eat more than about a third of it due to the overpowering nasty cheese taste.

Other diners ordered schnitzels, which they stated tasted like they had used stale crumbs to coat the meat. Another diner asked if they used proper calamari for the kids' meals and not that processed stuff, and was told that yes, it was proper calamari, only to find that her son's calamari was indeed the processed stuff (looks like mashed seafood formed to look like calamari rings). Overall, a disappointing evening food-wise

Approximate cost: $15-38

I was part of a largish group (16) booked for breakfast/brunch at 9.30am (not a very busy time for them going by the number of diners). Apart from 3 people, we all ordered standard meals off the menu. One ordered mushrooms with their cheese and tomato omelette; one would assume that the mushrooms would be mixed into the egg mixture, but no, they arrived in a separate bowl (and an extra $4.90 added to the bill!). The second person wanted only scrambled eggs (no toast etc) - they arrived, but with no reduction in the bill; the third ordered just toast and vegemite (for her child) - they charged $9.90 for a piece of toast and vegemite!! My meal didn't arrive until the rest of the table had almost finished theirs. I last visited this establishment approximately 18 months previously...nothing has changed

Approximate cost: $15.90 for basic breakfast items

While the pharmacy side can get a little busy at times, with a corresponding wait time, the prices on over-the-counter medications and other chemist lines is amazing! Even better, the shelf ticket shows exactly how much savings you're actually making

Dr Anthony Smith is an allergy and immunology specialist; he's amazing, listens to your concerns, leaves no stone unturned. Is more than happy to answer any questions about the illness or treatment

Have been with Bigpond since 1999, both with dial-up and broadband; while Help line is great, and service has few drop-outs, the plan prices are ridiculous. Will be changing shortly

Literally a family practice, with all four doctors related to each other; they bulk bill as well. Most of the doctors are friendly, and take the time to work out what's wrong, rather than rush you out the door (one does!)

A nice pub, offers fairly standard menu at good prices and "specials" days. Currently being refurbished with new beer garden. Pub trivia every Tuesday night draws a good crowd, and bookings are advised if dining in as well
