Simple, no-frills burgers, fish, and chips. Sara is an efficient operator and also extremely friendly.
It's at 33 Chester St now but the quality is still the same. There are many souvlaki joints to go to in Oakleigh but Orexi are clearly #1 in my view. I would go as far as to say that they make the best souvlaki in Melbourne.
Arguably the best cheesemakers in Melbourne. They also sell imported cheeses in addition to the ones they make on site and they take card payments now.
Sargent's Cakes has a great selection of donuts, cakes, and quiches. I will go as far as to say that they have the best pies in Melbourne.
It's not particularly cheap but the quality is there. This is the clear standout for cakes, coffees, pastries, and rolls on Queens Pde and the staff at the front of the cafe are friendly.
Gelato Messina makes some of the best gelati in Melbourne. It is in a less edgy neighbourhood than the Fitzroy one and it is not as packed as the Windsor one so you can be served without waiting too long.
Approximate cost: $7
I was recommended by my sister to go to this dental clinic and the staff here are fantastic. Dr Velasquez is a very knowledgeable and helpful dentist.
Approximate cost: $160
The food is decent and the drinks aren't particularly cheap but it is a pleasant place to have a drink and relax. It is a great place to sit down and enjoy the sea breeze.
Approximate cost: $30
My family has been going there for over 25 years and we have been satisfied with the quality of their cakes. It is great to have a pasticceria in Melbourne's northern suburbs where you don't pay and arm and a leg. You get your money's worth here.
I am so glad that I stumbled upon them on Instagram. They have many excellent cuts of meat and sausages and they are at affordable prices. Since the lockdowns have eased, Joe's has become my butcher of choice.
