We stayed here for our first visit to Burnie. The lady at the desk wasn't friendly at all, I definitely didn't feel welcome.
The room was quite nice, complete with a reasonably priced mini bar, and a bath. We stayed a Saturday night, so there was a bit of noise from other guests arriving late from a big night.
The pub downstairs was good, not very busy, but the staff were nice and friendly.
I would probably stay here again because it's cheap, but the lady at the desk (whom I assume is the owner) really needs to learn a bit about customer service!

I had lunch here today and absolutely loved it. Great food, good prices and really great service. I would definitely recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner. Probably the best Thai food in Hobart!

Unfortunately, this is one of few cafes in the Kingston shopping area. The service is not fantastic, especially when it's busy. The coffee is not great either. As for the food, it's not nice at all! My toastie was cold in the middle, and my partner's pie was 80% pastry, and the pastry wasn't great. I'd say we won't be back, but there aren't many other options!

I've been staying his on a work trip so I didn't have a say in my accommodation. I know it's a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting anything too fancy. The front desk staff were ok, but not particularly friendly or welcoming. My room is very clean and the bed is surprisingly really comfortable!
Only two complaints: The tv reception isn't great, and the shower only has a curtain separating it from the rest of the bathroom (water gets on the floor). Otherwise, it's a very comfortable room.
The best part is the location! Right near the river. I would probably book a room here if I had business in Southbank again.

I'm in Melbourne for work, and I discovered this gem near my office. The coffee is FANTASTIC and the sandwiches are delicious and fresh. The girl who served me wasn't overly friendly, but I'll definitely be back.

Hmmmm.....I haven't been here for around 6 months, and it has definitely gone downhill. None of the staff were wearing uniforms, the girl who served me didn't even bother to smile, and didn't offer a rewards card or anything like that.
The coffee wasn't well presented, and didn't taste great.
I sat down on the bench seat and noticed that the upholstery was terribly worn, and covered in crumbs.
So bad coffee, bad service and a dirty store. I will not be back.

This review is for Temptation Ice Cream And Juice Bar, Hobart TAS

This place serves Valhalla ice cream, as well as fresh juices and smoothies. When the lady took my order, she was clearly in the middle of a phone call, which she kept going with while she scooped ice cream. I couldn't quite believe it.... The ice cream was fine, but I'll definitely avoid this place from now on.

This review is for Thai Veggie Hutt Shu Yuan, Hobart TAS

This is a tiny eatery hidden in the Bank Arcade. They serve Thai food, exclusively vegetarian. Many of the dishes have a sort of "soy meat", which is actually delicious!
The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is great, and it's always very clean.
My favourite dish from here is the thom yum soup.

I sometimes have coffee with my mum here, and it is consistently decent. The coffee is ok, as is the food. The service is good, but not great.
I'd say this place is more for older people, even just judging by the decor. I haven't seen curly parsley as a garnish anywhere else this decade....
Although this seems to be a cafe for older people, I do think that the staff need to pay more attention to their work attire. It's all casual Tshirts and cargo shorts. Not so flash.

My partner and I love this place! We go every week or so to catch a bargain. There is invariably something we need there that is insanely cheap. Sometimes the quality isn't great, but you learn what to look for.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, such a credit to the business.
I also like the fact that they don't use plastic bags, you either bring your own, or they give you a leftover box.
