I signed up for a free week trial for this new gym, and was so impressed that I will be signing up for a membership!
The equipment is all brand new and great quality. The cardio machines all have a large screen with tv, internet and ipod dock, so just bring your headphones.
The pin weight machines are great too, and they also have free weights, and a room with yoga mats, bosu balls, etc.
The bathroom facilities are great, and everything is spotlessly clean.
I received a very generous membership offer via email (no annoying phone calls), which included some free gym gear!
The weekly membership fees are around $10, and the gym is open 24 hours.

I had a free 7 day trial with this gym, as I had never been before. Even before I started the trial, the girl at the desk was trying to get me to forfeit the trial in favour of a cheaper membership (contract, of course). I didn't appreciate this, and straight away felt pressured.
I started my trial week and did a few group classes. The classes were good, but nowhere near the standard of Genesis or UniGym. Also, there were only between 1 and 3 other participants in each class, so I can see why they are desparate for members. The price per week is the same as
Genesis (around $20!!!).
The decor and music at this gym seem to be from the early nineties, and the gym needs a good clean (really filthy windows).
I definitely did not want to join ater this trial, so left without saying anything.
Since then, the gym has been calling my mobile at least twice a day and not leaving a message. It's been nearly two weeks . . .

I've been here a couple of times because the coffee is quite good and it's a convenient location. It's more the atmosphere that lets this place down!
The staff are constantly talking about their cars and what kind of modifications they have, or will be getting. Other topics include men's cologne, and who is "tuning" whom.
The last straw for me was the horrible music. Some kind if euro-trance-pop? I definitely won't be back.

I met some friends here for lunch on a Saturday, we made a booking just in case. The all day menu was excellent, with a bit of a Mexican influence. I had the chicken taco salad, which was fresh and full of flavour. I had a large freshly squeezed orange juice which was delicious.
The cafe is licensed and open for dinner as well.
The thing that impressed me the most was the owner, who asked us how everything was, and genuinely cared! I will definitely be back.

I tend to get coffee here when I'm in the city, mainly to avoid the coffee snobs in the "boutique" cafés, who are obviously too cool for school.
I drink long blacks, and they are actually quite good here. I probably wouldn't delve into the milky, sugar syrup range of drinks though.
The guys that work here are really polite and friendly, more than you'd expect from a chain café. There is however one girl who can't manage s smile, and seems to need some training in good customer service.

I was elated to find a place in Hobart that sells fresh rice paper rolls! The prices are reasonable, and everything is made to order. I tried two of the vego options and they were delicious.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the ordering system where you have to fill out a menu form and give it to the cashier. Although, these sorts of things tend to get ironed out as time goes on.
This is a new business in Hobart, and I will definitely be back to support it!

We received a gift voucher for this place from a friend, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been able to afford to go.
The restaurant atmosphere was really nice, and the staff were friendly and very professional. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed watching a film in those comfortable recliners, with wine, beer and snacks. Very relaxing!
The only thing is, I probably wouldn't go back because it is SO expensive ($17 for a hot dog). The tickets alone are $39, and a concession is not available, which was disappointing.

I discovered this juice bar a few months ago in Hobart, and I have to say it's the best I have come across!
The staff are so friendly and helpful, always ready to help me choose, and even recommend different juices for different ailments.
The juices and smoothies taste amazing and they also have a range of food, including porridge, soups, dahl, salads, and healthy treats.
I go here a few times a week, so the loyalty card they offer is a bonus!

This place is quite noisy but still has a nice atmosphere. I tried a tuna baguette which was quite delicious!
The let down was the coffee. No crema at all on my long black!
I really wish cafés would stop using Grinders coffee, it's horrible. ....

I recently got my hair cut here after going to a few different salons (they kept mangling it!) And I'm happy to say that I've now found my salon :-)
I have very thick hair, which most hairdressers struggle with, but my stylist at Imola was so understanding and really took the time to make sure that my hair cut was suitable for my hair type.
The prices here are a slightly higher than your average Hobart salon, but you do indeed get what you pay for.
I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this salon.
