We had a Living Social deal for this place so we gave it a try.
The atmosphere was quite strange. It's a large restaurant with very bright lights, modern decor, and Bollywood music videos on a large tv screen. I thought it was a bit tacky, and was expecting something a bit more traditional.
The food was ok, but my "chilli paneer" was not spicy at all. The house wine (our only option) wasn't great.
There were only two other tables occupied, and one of them seemed to be having a dispute with the waiter over their living social deal!
The waiter was quite attentive, but lacked personality and didn't smile once.
Also they tried to charge us for the pappadum we were given before ordering, but as I didn't have anything smaller than a 20, he let it go!
I don't see this place lasting much longer, which is sad, but they really need to step it up. I won't be returning.

This place seems to have gone down hill in the last few years. Now it's at the same level as Banjos. ...... Coffee is as average, sandwiches are expensive and not full enough (you end up with half a roll smeared with mayo).
The staff all seem pretty young, but that's no excuse for standing around talking. ..

I've been here quite a few times because it's a casual place for dinner. Sometimes you have to wait about half an hour for a burger, but it's generally worth it. I love the chips and the range of mayos, but I always wander why there isn't a healthier option, like a side salad??

This place is family friendly, which is great. But, I really think that menu is outdated and the pizza sauce tastes like it's from a jar... On the upside, prices are reasonable, especially for wine :)

This is such a great shop for unique and funny gifts! It's the first place I go to for a present if I'm stuck for ideas. Some things are a bit price but I guess you pay for the novelty!

I went here to get my hair done after getting one of those Living Social deals for a cut, foils and treatment. First of all the girl who cut my hair was quite rude, complaining to her colleagues because my hair is very thick.
The haircut was not good at all, and I was left with tiger-stripe foils that belong in the 90s. Also they forgot to do the treatment. I will never go back and also I'm now hesitant to use Living Social again.

I love this place. I go to the larger Dumpling World too, but I find that Dumpling Express has really friendly staff and the restaurant is very clean. Recently I went there for a late dinner with my partner, and the waiter put a little electric tealight candle on our table, so cute!

I've been going here for a while now and I love it. The food is tasty and fast, and it's free BYO! Great place to go with a few friends. My favourite dishes are the vegetarian laksa, and any of the pan-fried dumplings.

I went here about 12 months ago for a friend's birthday. There wer a few of us so we sat upstairs. It was byo, but the restaurant didn't provide any glasses or any kind of cup... We all went down and got our food and they served it on metal prison-type trays. Also the cutlery was plastic!
I had the dahl, which was ok I guess. 4 of my friends had the butter chicken, which wasn't great either, and all 4 experienced diarrhoea later that night! Would not recommended this place to anyone...

I was pretty excited when I first saw this restaurant because I've lived in Japan before and loved the food. The menu seemed great and the staff were so lovely. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great and not exactly authentic... Probably won't go back.
