Esther and Wendy and the rest of the Swanborough team took care of my Dad with grace and dignity after he passed away unexpectedly after a short illness and I was the only next of kin. I couldn't have coped without the support of these wonderful people, and patient explanations of how the process worked, especially as a lot of it was done long distance via email and telephone. I highly recommend their services for anyone needing a discreet, empathic and caring funeral director in the greater Brisbane area, even if you're interstate or overseas!

George from G.I. was recommended to by a friend, we needed some doors painted in our house. He is a perfectionist with his work, knows his stuff, has a great eye for colour and detail and uses quality paint. I'm saving up to have him paint the exterior of my house by George because he's that good.
If you want your house or business painted and looking fantastic for years, give George a call. You won't regret it!

I'd been let down badly by another plumber who left my builder and I without a toilet and without water, saying he'd be back the next day to finish off. Next day came and he was a no-show. I needed help and fast! I found Mick right here on womo and called him, he got me to call back that evening. He was out the next day and doing my plumbing!
He's got a great system going with his customers - you pay him an hourly rate and you buy the materials & hardware needed. I bought tap sets for my bathtub and laundry from Bunnings the day before, and bought whatever else we needed from McCanns on Williamstown road with Mick the next day (and got trade discount!).
Our house had been "fixed" by a frankenhandyman years ago and the toilet and laundry taps ended up being very difficult jobs, which Mick did without complaint and only a bit of swearing. We now have a working toilet and running water again which my builder is very happy about. I was so pleased at having a plumber that actually started and finished a job on the same day I took Mick for a bite to eat and chat to say thank you.
My advice if you do hire Mick is that you be very clear with your instructions and make him coffee, he appreciates it when he's looked after. He was at my house from 7.30am till after 2pm and only charged me for four hours. I saved over $350 using Mick and buying the materials with his trade discount compared to the other plumber. He loves doing the small fiddly jobs that other plumbers don't like doing, he looks after his customers and he's a genuinely lovely man.
Cannot recommend him highly enough!

I am a regular at this restaurant, I can't get enough of their delicious rice paper rolls or fresh spring rolls. In winter I love having their pho soups, such incredibly good value. I bring a lot of my friends here if they're into asian food. If you turn up at a busy time (lunch time, early dinner) or you have a lot of people to seat, you may have to wait. This restaurant is CASH ONLY, there is an NAB atm two doors down Hopkins Street if you need to get cash out.

I have been seeing Betty from Nail Expressions for over three years. She does my acrylic nails with the non-toxic Creative Nails, and also does waxing for myself and my partner and every couple of months I have a lovely pampering pedicure from her. Betty is helpful, no-nonsense and one of the best nail technicians I have ever had - that's why I see her every fortnight without fail. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
