We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of June. Unfortunately the weather was very cold and windy - not conducive for staying in caravan park villa style accommodation. The cabin was cold, with not enough blankets supplied to stay warm overnight. Would probably not recommend a winter's stay here - although I am sure it is fine the rest of the year.
Accommodation was basic as these types of villas go. It also didn't feel particularly little kid friendly - the triple decker bunk bed being a good example - and no way to lock the kids inside (with the river just outside the front door).

We found this business via the hipages quote servicing. They had some good feedback on there, so we went ahead and booked for carpet and tiling clean, windows and an end-of-lease clean for our rental property.
The bad day started when they were nearly 2 hours late (without explanation). Hubby was there in, doing some gardening, and they kept trying to encourage him to leave (as if they didn't want him keeping an eye on them). The cleaning was quick and slapdash - and although they had quoted for window cleaning, they didn't even remove the flyscreens to clean the outsides. Despite quoting $550 (which you would think would be for at least 3-4 hours work) they were only there for about 1 1/2 hours.
And then, upon leaving, they informed hubby that they would need cash (despite never having mentioned cash in the quoting process). So a quick trip to the ATM was required - and we only received a receipt with great reluctance. Would definitely not recommend!

I finally got to try Podfood a month or so ago for my Dad's birthday, after years of hearing good reviews from friends. The staff were very open and welcoming, despite us having a toddler in tow - even bringing out extra complimentary bread for my little one. My main course of pork belly was absolutely delicious and melt in the mouth, with the perfect, crispy crackling. My one minor disappointment was the dessert, which just didn't (or possibly couldn't) live up to the main. All in all, a delightful experience, I will be back.

Have been hear several times for lunch due to its convenient location inside Myer at Belconnen Mall. Reasonably standard café type food. Chips are occasionally on the luke warm side, but they have always been responsive to replacing items if they are not quite right. Relaxing place to have lunch with the kids - my little girl loves the booth style seating.

Have had brunch here a few times. We love it because it is close to home and has good gluten free alternatives for my coeliac friends. Reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere makes this a great little café very close to Belconnen Mall.

I had a reverse cycle airconditioning unit installed in my rental property about three years ago. It was purchased through and installed by Climatrol. The installation was very quick and smooth, but I have been most impressed with the after sales service. On approx. three occasions, the unit has required repair / servicing under warranty - and Climatrol has always been amazingly prompt and helpful, even when it was an easy fix that might have been able to be figured out from the manual.

We took a girlfriend here for high tea on her birthday at the start of this year. We had our own private parlor at the back of the building - definitely a perfect location for a traditional high tea. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, with a combination of savory and sweet delicacies. The scones with jam and cream were particularly amazing. Definitely worth the drive out of town.

I have been to Tulips a couple of times for lunch and afternoon tea. One of the big initial attractions for me was the family friendly location (they have on site play equipment for the littlies and a beautiful shady courtyard to sit and relax). Why I have returned is because of the food. Their sweets in particular are absolutely delicious. You can definitely tell that they are homemade with love. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but worth taking a chance on.

I have been into Brewbar in Tuggeranong several times for lunch (as I am not a coffee drinker - I can't comment on that). The food is tasty enough, but Tuggeranong has many other places to eat where the food is a higher quality and not quite as expensive either. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but not a fan either.

I am a lover of fine chocolate, but unfortunately Max Brenner doesn't quite make the grade. It is certainly a chocolate overload, but their pastries are ordinary and their chocolate isn't worth the high prices. Have certainly tasted much better, not sure why is cafe has such a cult following.
