Dinner at Aubergine was fantastic. No A La Carte available during December, and no BYO, but really enjoyed our meal. The set menu had plenty of choices and the flavours were amazing. Great service too, very attentive and inobtrusive. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be going back. A lovely restaurant for a special night out.

Have dined at D'Browes on two occasions. This time I was looking for somewhere to take our Board and staff. There were about 25 of us and the food was delicious. The portions are huge, and we all made a valiant effort to finish everything, although most of us didn't quite succeed. We had the set menu which had great choices. This is a BYO only restaurant which kept the cost way down. We dropped the wine off a couple of days earlier and they had the white chilled for us and ready to go. Great service too.

Delicious Indian food with a twist! A lighter kind of Indian food than we are used to. The use of things like lemongrass make the food here really interesting and add a freshness to the flavour. Good value for money, with a lovely selection of dishes. The staff are lovely, the service is good without being intrusive. Really worth visiting.

Fantastic little cafe based at Mawson Shops. The food is fresh and healthy and very well priced ($7.50 for a quiche or lasagne with salad). It is cooked fresh every day. Selection includes sandwiches, burgers, rolls, rice paper rolls, salads, quiches, lasagne and delicious sweet treats. Ben, the owner makes a mean coffee too, and there is no extra charge for a double shot! The service is fast and friendly and there is limited seating both inside and out. Definitely a must. Try it for a coffee and snack while shopping, lunch or afternoon tea. Open 6 days a week. A great find.

This is the third time I have purchased minimink, but the first where I bought directly from their website. The products are fantastic. Bought the most gorgeous faux fur baby wraps/throws. Spoke with Ally (the owner) on the phone as I had a query. She was fantastic. She made sure that I had the items on time (arrived even faster than she had promised). You can have your purchases gift wrapped for an extra $4 when ordering online. Absolutely worthwhile. The wrapping was beautiful and at a fraction of the price it would cost to buy the paper. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. And, interestingly, my husband thinks we need the adult version of the rug ourselves. Do yourself a favour - log on and see what they offer.

Dined at Kingselys last weekend for a friends birthday. The service was disappointing, starting with receiving our drinks order. There were six of us, 3 ordered cocktails, one water and two beers. The drinks didn't arrive together, infact there was a delay of at least 5 minutes between the first and second to arrive. It didn't get much better after that. The menu was quite limited and nothing out of the ordinary. The soft shelled crab was disappointing (it was cooked in batter). Sadly, not somewhere I will be rushing to return to.

Was lucky enough to be given a voucher for a Spa Pedicure for Christmas. This was one of the best pedicures I have ever had. Carly did a fabulous job on my tired, sore feet. I almost fell asleep while she was massaging them. I left the store walking on air and clutching their Spa menu. Definitely will be booking a return visit. My only problem is deciding on what to choose next ..... massage, pedicure, facial or a hair appointment....... a very tough decision.

My absolute Favourite fish and chip shop - with a marked difference. Here is a place where you can buy fresh fish, ready to cook, or the most delicious fresh fish, cooked to perfection, to eat in or take away. Sit outside on a sunny evening, sip on a cool glass of wine or beer and dine on what has to be one of the best meals ever. The prices are great too. Have a look at their website fishtankbrighton.com.au. It is one place I really miss since leaving Melbourne. No need to go to expensive seafood restaurants, for quality and value you have to eat here. Sit outside and watch the sun go down, the world go by with a delicious meal and a glass of something cold, honestly, what could be better!

Had dinner at this French African Restaurant last week We dined from the set menu which was great value for money. We had 3 courses plus a glass of wine for under $60 each. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. Portions were very generous and beautifully presented. The menu is quite extensive with lots of variety. We are really looking forward to visiting again.

Delicious Malaysian/Chinese fusion food. The service is great and the food amazing and really well priced. We were even treated to a floor show! The owner (?) put on a magic act for us. He also does, we were told by another customer, a great Elvis act. What was to be a quick bite before a movie turned into a wonderful meal and entertainment. Will definitely be visiting there again very soon.
