I've been here twice since it opened and find that you get the best value for money with the set menu options, which also gives you a good variety from their extensive menu. The set menus vary in price, averaging around the $30 - $60 dollar mark, depending which one you choose.

The food itself is quite enjoyable and above the usual standard of other eateries on Keilor Rd. The staff are attentive and helpful in explaining the menu and are quick to clear the table and offer more tea and beverages.

The restaurant itself is small and can get loud when busy. The kitchen is also partly visible from the hall you go down to get to the toilets, and I'm happy to say it looks clean and organised.

Booking would't go astray on Friday/Saturday nights as they can get quite full very quickly.

I've gotten take-away here a few times when I haven't had enough time to cook after work. After phoning my order through and driving down to pick up my food at the suggested time, I often find myself waiting for 10 - 20 mins when I'm there.

Also, as my partner is allergic to nuts, it is also good to note that they use a lot of cashews in their kitchen and we have found some strays in our food - even when we ask specifically for no nuts. For this reason, I would not recommend this place to anyone with a nut allergy and now strictly eat here when my partner will not be eating with me.

They do have a large variety of options, and the food is freshly prepared, but I find I get quicker service and cheaper options up the road in St. Albans.

Sweet Lulu's is a great little cafe in Keilor village and it's always a good idea to get in early as they can get very busy - especially on Saturdays.

I go there regularly and am happy to say that I'm always greeted with consistently great service, great food and a great menu of freshly prepared options and breakfast is served until late. Prices are average, but portions are a decent size and the food doesn't disappoint.

It's a cute little cafe, great for catching up with friends and with an outside area which is great if you walk down with your dog - but people do smoke outside which can be a little off-putting if you're eating.

Anh Trang is one of the only places I go to for my waxing.

I'm always very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Despite being across from the station, once you step in it is like another world as it always is tranquil and smells really nice.

All the ladies working there are friendly, professional and move quickly - which is good as it means waxing appointments aren't drawn out needlessly or painfully.

They also have combination prices and sometimes half price deals on certain days of the week, offering a range of skin care treatments and hair removal options.

They always seem happy to accommodate their customers.

Louise and Nat are both amazing, bubbly, talented hairdressers that care about their customers and their quality of work.

I have had a wide series of colours and cuts done here, and have recommended them to my friends, most of whom now also go here for their hair cuts and I've never had any problems.

Both ladies are accommodating and offer advice you can trust as they're not trying to upsell you into something you don't want.

I have had Nat do my hair for multiple special occasions and have never been disappointed as I always get bespoke service and value for money.

They are often busy (mostly because they've got a large regular clientele) so booking in advance ensures you can get in.

I had a fully lined dress with a heavily sequinned bodice and delicate fabric that I needed taken in at the waist for a special occasion. Not able to take it in myself due to the skill required and the work involved, I took the dress to a few places around Melbourne to get a quote. I was told by one person that it was too much work and not possible in Melbourne CBD and so I went looking a bit closer to home and found Lydia on WOMO.

Firstly, Lydia is very welcoming, accommodating and honest - fully deserving of the rave reviews on WOMO. She told me outright what I had heard before, that taking in my dress is a lot of work due to there being many sections and the nature of the fabric, but she was willing to do it in under two weeks.

I left the dress with her and a $50 deposit and came back in under two weeks to pick it up as it was ready. Looking from the inside of the item, it was difficult to see where Lydia had opened it up and resewn the lining and sections in place as it was properly finished.

I was a bit apprehensive about how it would turn out, simply because my body type means fitting my waist and chest is always a problem, but after trying it on, I was happy to find that it fitted perfectly and showed no tell-tale signs it had been altered.

I would recommend Lydia to anyone wanting any tailoring in the western suburbs, she is reliable and highly experienced.

Approximate cost: $150
