I popped in recently to purchase some takeaway items for lunch with my son. The service was prompt and polite. It was bustling with customers and slightly on the noisy side, making the serving staff a little hard to hear.
I chose a bread roll with what I thought was chicken and salad. When I opened it up, I was disappointed to find that it was simply a lot of mixed lettuce poking out of the roll and very ground up chicken in mayonnaise on one side of the roll. I actually thought they'd forgotten the chicken it was so small and hard to see.
My son's sandwich contents was as expected and, from his report, delicious :)
We also ordered some small tarts, which were lovely.
Overall, while we enjoyed our choices, I was left feeling disappointed about the chicken & salad roll. I won't go out of my way to buy my lunch there again. Maybe some sweet treats though :)

This family run business is such a great community resource!
The produce is usually the best you can find, prices are very competitive and the service and friendly atmosphere are hard to beat. I stopped buying produce at the supermarket once I discovered the quality and freshness here. Charlie and staff give great advice too.
I love that they always offer to help with taking bags or boxes to the car, and they are lovely to my little ones.

I joined a couple of years ago and my kids still love it! There are always great toys to borrow and my 5yo is really into trying different board games now. We hired a party pack of outdoor toys for my son's 1st birthday party and it was great for all of the pre-schoolers who were there, not just the littlies, kept them busy playing for ages.
Kids get so tired of their own stuff, so it's great to be able to swap toys every few weeks and try new toys you just can't get easily in the shops, plus they look forward to going and choosing new toys to play with.
I'm very happy with this toy library.
