I met Kase at a seminar he hosted about weight training and diet for women. I was not really convinced weight training was for me and I had a quite disappointing experience in the past with a PT. But I love trying new things at the gym and I felt I needed something more than my 3 bodypump classes a week to gain more muscles in my upper body and get my legs leaner. So I decided to give it a shot for a free session with Kase.
What I like with Kase is everything he says has been well documented before and he always explains why we do such or such exercise.
With Kase, I managed to lift heavy, which I wouldn't have dared before by myself. But the real benefit for me has been learning the right techniques, especially to squat and deadlift. And that really helps me for my bodypump classes, as I am more aware of activating all my muscles during the different tracks. And I also can carry heavier weights at pump class, which means burning more calories!
I like the fact that he gave me a diet plan, adapted to my body and my goals, explaining why I should eat that much protein, carbs or fat, and when, etc. And I've actually been eating more than before without gaining much weight.
What Kase has also taught me is stretching is very important if you want to perform at your best. And I really enjoy some stretching sessions sometimes.
Finally, after training twice a week with Kase for 4 months now, I can see my arms, my shoulders and my legs are more toned. I can do few pull-ups all by myself and I'm not afraid anymore to do heavy squat alone.
I really recommend Kase if you want to understand what kind of exercises is required for your own fitness goal, if you like varying your training program and if you want to get toned and see real results in your physique and your energy level.
