Partner made a reservation for valentines night this year.
From the moment we walked in the door to the time we left 2 hrs later we couldnt have been more pleased.
The service, food and atmosphere is just wonderful.
We were greeted, seated and served our drinks.
The. Cool mountain breeze thru the windows was welcome relief on a qld hotter than hot night.
Fairy lights on a tin roof were lovely.candles on the tables decorated with tiny syptars ,hearts and rose petals was a lovely touch.
We ordered entrÄ—es of the chowder and trio,of prawns. My partner kept raving about his chowder as i teased about my prawns of 2 garlic, coconut which i adored and tempura served in a bamboo steamer. The chowder comes in a cob loaf and looked good
Our mains were the fish and chips for me,barramundi and moreton bay bugs also served in a bamboo steamer with 3 diff sauces on the side. My chips were so big and thick and came in a small wire basket on the plate, very cute.
Nothing was over powering and you could taste the freshness of the seafood.white juicy pieces of fish and a nice little salad in an edible tortilla basket, unusual and delicate. We watched food around us being served and everything looked so damn good.
Tables werent close and easily manouverable for the customers . The wait staff are older gen and lovely, not jn your face and plates were removed a few minutes after finishing. They were friendly,we met the owners ,pauline and craig and complimented them on such a beautiful night.
In the day time the view from the restaurant is breathtaking,at night the twinkle of the lights from the city is lovely.
The orange chocolates, well i think they were orange ,served at the end of the meal are so smooth and delectable
Clean, romantic and rustic. No wonder they win awards
this place is such a pleasure and so relaxing. Like walking into nans kitchen, welcoming and relaxed. Prices are as expected and we spent about $140 but so worth it. Thanks guys and anyone wanting to try it please do

One real estate man we dealt with was overly pushy. Didnt consider residents situations. Made appointments to suit himself ,takes liberties concerning property and renters concerns.
Only dealt with one person so dont take it as a downer. The rest of the team are nice and helpful and accomodating. Let them help, you find the right property.stick with the locals they know about the caloundra

This place is great for a quick shop when you forgot something at the big shops down the rd. place is under new management.
Parking is limited out the front but there is a back entrance that hardly anyone uses and I park there.
Nice clean and simply set out shop. I needed to get fresh garlic and found some before heading home. They have a few shelves of canned and boxed foods and drinks and 2 rows of fruit and veg that all looked inviting. Lady at counter greeted me when I walked in which is nice these days. Floors were clean and I have shopped here before with the other owners. Hope people use them and keep locals alive. Open early and about 6pm

Approximate cost: $2

This review is for Coffee and cod chippery, Wurtulla QLD

Name is supposed to be chippery. My typo here .sorry came here for friday night takeaway.
Place is small, nicely decorated with surfboards as menus, novel idea, old tables and chairs outside.
Basically a coffee and cake cafe that does fish and chips and burgers ,drinks
Clean, nice friendly aussie lady that served me.
I ordered cod $8:50 and $5 chips for the man,I had a seafood basket $10:50 and we shared 8 calamari for $10:50 and i got my potato scallops $1:80 each
Order took 20 minutes though they werent that busy, one in front of me,2 pickups and 3 after me.
We got our order and went down the rd to the beach tables to eat.
Everything was cooked perfectly,golden.
My seafood basket had chips,3 small crumbed prawns, sea button, a half a seafood stick that was then cut into half again so,it was 2 little bites, and a thin piece of fish. Nice and cooked lovely ,batter was golden, wasnt asked if we wanted crumb or batter tho like most places now, chicken salt was barely existant. Potato scallops were really thin and could only taste oil really.
The mans box was very oily the paper bag was saturated by the time we drove 5 min down the rd.
The calamari was crumbed and large,we had to take it home. Chils were thick cut but not crunchy and most was a box of one inch chips like cut offs, very few normal chips.
Like I said everything was cooked lovely its just a shame nothing was fresh and everything was like out of a box from frozen. Calamri was cooked perfectly tho.and a shame it was so oily. Nothing had a distinctive taste other than oil
Its a good little place tho and worth having a try,we might go try burgers next time. Open from 6:30 am till 7/7:30 rest of week and c,osed mondays

Approximate cost: $38

Friday night takeaway and this place is great.
Out of the way but not too much.parking around back in the small car park or on street.
Decor is green red and beige and so 1970s lol but good clean premises.
Green padded 1980 chairs bring back memories ,
The girls serving and taking orders are lovely, helpful and friendly.
We chose crispy beef with Chinese special sauce$16:50,garlic king prawns $20,,fried dim sims 3 for $7 ,and a small special fried rice$8
Everything was beautiful, can fault nothing,15 min wait.
The crispy beef is mouthwatering, sweet and beautiful meat, garlic prawns had plenty of garlic flavour and veges, sauce needs the rice tho as it is thin but thats ok. The dim sims were the best ive had. House made by the look and taste, can taste and see the veges and the meat is juicy ,the batter is thin, not oily and we could have pigged out on just those lol
They have gluten free too. Prices are really good. The sit down restaurant part was half full the night we were there and we heard a table of 11 was due so pretty good clientel. Vast menu and we will go back again. They have $10 lunch soecials as well so find it and have a try .

A gem living next to the beach.
I needed a new pair of cozzies and had walked past thismplace time after time.
So saturday morning was it,
The staff were helpful with sizes ,fitting and i chose a nice one piece for my chubby little body lol for $59
Lots of bimkini and one pieces to browse, medim sized shop, well lit , some beach dresses and lots of accessories to browse as well.
Shop is all white .little cluttered i thought but all ok
Parking is hard to find so park around the back st in the free car park.

3 egg omlette with ham cheese and tomato was light and fluffy and tasty. $15
They have gf food too. We also tried the corn fritters for same price.value for money. Nice bright lit store ,clean. Parking is a pain in main st tho so go to,the free parking in the street behind

Came here night dinner last friday night
Had takeaway and only took 8 minutes which was good.
We had 2 pieces flake, chips ,potato scallop and drinks cost us $33.15
Very expensive menu. Rather a large choice of foods thats way over priced for what we got and saw.
$8 for a little hotdog that had nothing on it but mustard and extras from sauce to another another hotdog was 50c-$4 for the extra dog !$3 for bacon!
Anyway our fish for $7 was the size of my palm and I dont have big hands.disappointed there, tasted a little odd, very dry ,the crumb was nice and crunchy and not greasy and tasted ok
The beer battered chips were done perfectly, crispy not greasy and fluffy on the inside ,
The potatop scallops ,the batter was crispy too but just fell off with every bite but were ok.
Drinks were warm by the time we drove for a few minutes to a picnic table
You can also have salad with the meals and alcohol inside
The only reason We wouldnt go back is the expense.
$16 for a burger with no lettuce,6 prawn cutlets and chips $16 ,i find that overpriced for boxed food. The place is nice and clean, sit down or takeaway. Touristy area so if you try it be prepared for the prices
One last thing, they CHARGE 50c for chicken salt! Come on guys really!

Still adore this place on friday nights or early morns after the night out.
Love the chips and I have the blackforest pancakes omg . Caramel milkshake to go with it and im in heaven, open 24/7 bar xmas etc
Parking is crap tho so we always walk from our venue. Spent $20 and was well, fed. Love the old knight decor and the pews for seats. Service is still off, slow even on Nights that arent crowded. But other than that pretty good still
