We had a room service breakfast delivered to our room at their resort from the Sunmoom Resturant. Oh my- it was delicious! A really big serving, hot as can be, and one of the best hot breakfasts we have had for a while. And great value for money, delivered with a smile. It was a great wya to finish off our stay, and we thoroughly recommend it.

I really like Cosi's value for money. And the menu selection. I always find something that appeals to my taste buds on the day. The servings are HUGE, I can honestly say I have never left there feeling hungry, and rarely have I eaten everything on my plate as the servings are so generous. I especially love their BLT. The service is friendly, and the meals are served in a timely manner, not raced to your table as soon as you sit down, but not a lengthy wait either. I have eaten there many times, and cannot criticise the food or the service any time. We often bring out of town guests there, and they say the same. Kid friendly too.

This review is for Mounts Bay Waters Apartment Hotel, Perth WA

Very pleased with our stay here. The apartments were very clean, and well refurbished, with a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer and separate bathroom. Our one bedroom apartment had slising door onto the balcony, which had view over the CBD, and the back of King's Park Hill. The bed was very comfortable. We did wonder about noise being almost right on the freeway, but once the door was shut, the double glazing was brilliant and we didn't hear thing (and we are from a rural place where silence is what we are used to!). It is in a good location for the CBD and Convention Centre, with the CAT bus (free) at the door. There is one secure, gated car parking spot per apartment, (I was told you need to pre book this though). The service was also very good. The room service pizza was yummy, yummy, and hubby also had a take away curry meal from the resturant downstairs one night, which he was pleased with. Altohuhg Perth is ecpensive to stay in, we thought this was great value as Perth goes, you had everything you needed, and was so much better than a bland ,basic hotel room, which cost about the same, and here you got a balcony and self contained facilities. Would recommend.

This review is for Hot House Flowers, Albany WA

Hot House Flowers are outstanding. I have used them a few times now, and have always been impressed with their exceptional service, the quality of the flowers, can do attitude and the thought they put into their arrangements. Even once when I had a small request for 10 indiviual flowers to be used at a funeral, they individually wrapped each flower beautifully (which I did not expect fo ask for), and it is a little unexpected thing like that which earns big kudos and a happy memory in the minds of all our family from that sad day. Their shop is also awesome, lots of fun and funky items, and I find them easy, friendly and professional to deal with over the phone too. They have never let me down, think outside the box, and are always my go to place in Albany for flowers. Thank you Hot House!

This review is for Paradise Resort, Surfers Paradise QLD

We were bitterly disappointed with Paradise Resort, despite heairng great things. We spent 4 nights there, and were charged $290 a night, so we were expecting real quality. Unfortunately, our room was old, run down and in need of some repair work and a jolly good clean. We were grateful we got a room facing the road, as the pool side rooms would have been horrendous wiht the noise coming from screaming kids all day! This of course, is the focus of Paradise Resort, the kids, and why you book. The water park equipment was good, but the pool and hot tub were nasty water quality wise, and as adults, unless you want to jump in with tons of kids, it might not be your thing. I guess we expected alot more pool !! The food was good the couple of times we ate there, but the service in the resturant was terrible, as were the wait times for breakfast in the morning- we only bothered the once- especially when you have kids waiting too. If a water playground is the deciding factor on your family holiday, then go there, if you want a bit a quality for all the family, and even a bit of peace without kids runing down the halls screaming at all hours, then perhaps you may want to consider somewhere else. All in all, we were terribly disappointed, especially considering how much it cost.

This review is for Amalfi Resort, Busselton WA

We were extremely impressed with Amalfi Resort, so much so that we have booked again. The complex is fresh and clean and inviting. For longer stays the prices are exceptional for what the villas and resort offers, and we could not find anywhere close in price with the same features. Our 2 bedroom villa had a fully equipped kitchen, free WIFI, Foxtel and a dishwasher, washer and dryer. It was clean, functional, and comfortable. The second bedroom was upstairs, so the kids had their own space. The resort also has a tennis court, heated pool and hot tub on site for guests to utilise. The location is great, close to Bussleton centre, and a short walk to the beach. The service is also great, friendly and personable. Great value in what can be an overpriced region. Thanks Amalfi.

This review is for Three Anchors, Albany WA

We were really lookng forward to tryin gout Three Anchors. Such a great spot right on Middleton Beach, and I am certain it is going to go gangbusters in summer, and hence will be a really busy place to get in to. Beautifully renovated/decorated since the closure of when it was "Calamaris". So upmarket, done a great job. We ordered lunch, fish and chips for me and kanagaroo for hubby. Food was yummy, the ale batter on the fish was delicious, but was a tad diappointed for the $25 price tag that it only came with lettuce. (I did recheck the menu and it indeed said "salad greens', so that was my fault), but I do think a real salad for the price would have been better, as you usually get at other places. The chips were crisp, fresh and yum, as was the fish and the kangaroo was very tender. It was quite a small serve though for $28, and hubby was a bit hungry when we left. The service was friendly and en pointe, our only small gripe was that it took quite a while for the meals to come out, and it wasn't busy. It was an OK lunch, but not sure if it is any better than what you would expect from standard pub style fare (it's not a pub tohugh may I add- beer and wine only), and the wait time on meals was long. Would be great in summer with a cold beer and a snack after work me thinks. Location is tops.

The place looks quite posh and is decorated in a funky, modernistic style. We were quite excited at trying some of their spirits after being lured in by the signs outside. We were all ready to have a tasting, a meal and a cocktail, but sadly, none of that eventuated.
Therefore, I can only rate on service, as we were basically ignored. The one staff member on duty that we could see had someone at the counter who seemed to be "important". We were told (and I mean told, not hello or anything) to "go look at the back shelf", which had all of their highly priced bottles of drinks, and we were bluntly told in the same "greeting" - "it's $10 for a tasting". We had a quick look at the prices, decided that we would need to try them if we were to pay that much per bottle, but subsequently were completely ignored for the next 10 minutes while we waited, waited at the counter while they talked, and suddenly walked outside and took this person out the back for a tour of the distillery. After still no acknowledgement, anyone to serve, or any subsequent service from any other staff (not that we could see any), we left, a litle shocked at how we were treated. We obviously weren't important enough, and we were the only other people there (this was a Sunday afternoon). We were very disappointed.

This review is for Whale World, Albany WA

Whale World is a must see if you are in Albany. You can also visit the Gap and Natural Bridge on the way there or back- they are worth seeing too. Whale World also has a cafe if you feel like lunch, but we did not eat there, so cannot comment. The actual tour is extremely informative and gives you a "no holds barred" commentary on exactly what whaling was like. It will certainly open your eyes! After the tour, you can take in the rest of the place at your leisure, from museum type rooms, huge display after your initial entrance, photo galleries, old ship, movie theatres (one was 3-d!) and a huge gift shop. This was definitely worth doing, and while it is a tad pricey, it is an interesting place to visit. The scenery is beautiful, and it is windy there, so wouldn't suggest going on a very cold winter's day! Overall, put it on your list if in the Albany region.

This review is for Middleton Beach Holiday Park, Albany WA

verified email - 22 Aug 2013

This is a nice Holiday Park, right next to the dunes on Middleton Beach. You can hear the waves crashing in fact! Great swimming pool and heated jacuzzi, and reasonable opening hours for these facilites. There is also a games room full of arcade games, pool table, table tennis etc, and a BBQ area. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin for 2 nights in the main part of the park. It was clean, and had a spa bath in the bathroom. It was fully self contained, and items missing such as t-towels and matches to light the stove were provided once we went and asked for them. The cabins are a little dated, and I did feel they were a bit pricey. The couch was very uncomfortable and definitely not able to sit 4 people, but that tends to be a common problem in accommodation. The cabins were right next door to each other. Overall, it was just OK accommodation wise in the cabin, but the facilities and location are very good.
