I'm not a cyclist, so can't comment on their expertise or most of their equipment - I'm reviewing them because they stock and sell Clean Bottles!
Drink bottles designed by cyclists, for cyclists - both ends screw off and the drinking flange pulls out easily to be cleaned also.
I was devastated when the only (so I thought) Australian supplier stopped selling them - was delighted to find them here after ringing around a lot.
Today they had them on sale - $10.90 instead of, I think, $15.90, and it's the second time I've been in recently to buy them.
They've been friendly and enthusiastic both times, and I have no complaints.

Approximate cost: $10.90

Used to be known as Eddy's Sewing Machine Centre, and the fabric store attached used to be known as Possum Patch.
They sell sewing machines and over lockers, and most importantly, repair them as well.
I took my machine in to have the needle threader replaced today - they had to order the part in, and they let me know it had arrived. When I collected it a short time later, they told me they hadn't had to replace it, just re-align the existing one. They gave me the option of buying the replacement one, in case Murphy's Law hit, and the existing one breaks tomorrow! When they told me the cost, I was only too happy to buy it - I'd been expecting a bill of around $85 - cost, $10 for the new threader, labour nil! If I'd chosen not to buy the replacement part, I wouldn't have paid anything at all.
I was really impressed - plenty of people would've just kept their mouths shut and just charged me for the part regardless.
There's plenty of metered parking right outside, so you don't have to carry a heavy machine too far, and the gentleman offered to carry it back to the car for me anyway.
As I mentioned earlier, there's also a great fabric store attached, with a huge range of quilting fabric and supplies.

This practice provides an invaluable service to the city of Hobart. They're open all day weekends & public holidays, and every evening week nights.
I've used them innumerable times over the last 20 years, including twice in the last two weeks. Being a shift worker, they're particularly useful when I'm supposed to be at work on a weekend or public holiday, and am sick instead.
As a health care worker myself, I often receive calls from clients and have to advise them to see a doctor - it's great to have this practice to refer them to as an alternative to the emergency room of our only public hospital.
The service is first come, first serve (except genuine emergencies) and you will have to sit in the waiting room for a while - I waited 90 minutes tonight, having arrived 15 minutes before opening time. They'll always give you an estimate of the wait length though, and you can go and come back later if you want.
Let's face it, none of us enjoy sitting around in a waiting room when we're unwell, so I'm not going to pretend it's fun. But they have a large waiting room, plenty of chairs, a TV, a clean toilet, and a late night pharmacy just outside. Pretty damn good, if you ask me!
The staff are always pleasant and friendly, despite the amount of flak they must have to put up with (and overhear).
The cost is a little more than most GP's - $73 this evening, which is claimable through Medicare, of course. I assume the staff are being paid penalty rates, so that's understandable.
All in all, a fantastic service, and one which we're very lucky to have.

I rent a car space here via my workplace, the RHH. Comes out of my pay each fortnight, so pretty painless. The space is mine 24 hours, 365 days a year, which is very convenient.
I'm a shiftworker at the RHH, and I remember the nightmare that parking used to be before this car park opened, even when Argyle St car park offered 24 hour parking, it was still a nightmare - round the block 5 times just to get into the queue, had to leave home (10 minutes from city centre) an hour early just to park!
Now I just drive straight in, no stress, and I can nominate another car to use it if I wish - my Mum is able to use it when I'm not at work. Parking for Xmas shopping in the city is a breeze!
Being open 24 hours is a bonus, especially as we often have women arriving in labour, and their partners wanting to know where they can park without having to worry about moving the car when the parking meters start (Murphy's law says the baby gets born just as Dad is out moving the car!)
With Ronald McDonald House backing on the car park, I know the Social Work department at the RHH also works out a parking deal with the car park for people who have to stay here, away from home, possibly for long periods of time and often unexpectedly, so this is a big load off their mind.
At around 2pm, when the hospitals (and possibly the police department) are changing shift, the car park is always full, and the attendants will valet park cars for workers until the day shift people leave, and spaces are available. I have occasionally noticed them happily waving people into spaces on the side area where I park - which is ALL signed "permit holders only" - so am not very impressed by that. Finding someone in my parking space is guaranteed to make me VERY upset!
I also had a traffic cone (supplied by my employer, so NOT the property of the car park) that I used to block my bay from casual parkers, but despite me writing my name, and "Do Not Remove" and "Private Property - removing this cone is THEFT" - the car park attendants repeatedly removed it to use themselves - they block off the casual spaces first thing in the morning so the all-day "early bird parkers" don't hog them - and after chasing it down several times, and making numerous complaints to the management, I finally gave up.
Also, most permit-only spaces have signs on them, supplied by the car park - as mine is in one of the side areas, it wasn't marked. My request to have a sign installed was met with the explanation that the whole side area is signed "Permit Holders Only" so a sign wasn't necessary. As previously mentioned, I've seen the attendants instructing casual parkers to use these spaces, so that explanation didn't go down well. I finally installed my own sign, and they haven't taken it down, so I guess I'm happy with the solution.
Cost is $100 fortnight, which works out to $2600 year. If you're a day worker and you park casually every day, Monday to Friday, it costs $10 per day, so the same cost exactly. As a shift worker, I'd be paying a little less to park casually, as evenings and weekends are cheaper, but I don't care. The convenience is worth every cent!
Despite my complaints, I'm thrilled to have this space, and very happy overall with the service provided, I wouldn't give it up for anything.
A great service overall, very happy they are there.

Designed and made a button name badge for me to wear at work.
Was interested in what I wanted, emailed me several designs to choose from before making up the badge.
Had it ready the next working day after I chose the design.
Cost $22, but my last one lasted for 17 years, so I didn't mind paying that amount.
Very happy with them.

Had some re-pointing done on my brick house. He was happy to come out on a Sunday to do the quote, and the quote was brilliant - cheaper than anyone else. I had quotes for over $1000 for the work he did for $330. Both he and another Brickie I had quotes from told me there are plenty of people in the trade who put the word "restoration" in front of their name when re-pointing, and then charge the earth!

He was friendly and easy to talk to, reassured me the house wasn't going to fall down from the crack I'd recently noticed!
He was fast to turn up and do the work, did a professional job and did it quickly.
I'm very happy and would highly recommend this company.

I took a loose leaf presentation in to have it spiral bound here today. I hadn't been able to print the cover page at home, and the salesman was extremely helpful finding the problem (wrong paper) and helping me source it from my email and print it onto a suitable medium.
He did all this while I waited, and did the binding for me - he was outstandingly helpful, and I really appreciated it.
I have several more to,do, and will be going back.

Had lunch here today, had been meaning to drop in for coffee for a while, often walk past.
The interior is much larger than it looks from outside, with lots of variety of seating - some sofa/armchairs, plenty of tables for one or two, a few high benches with barstools, and a long table near the window that seats ten - perfect to spread out your newspaper! I sat there.
As you walk in the door, there's a huge round open fire/brazier that was so comforting on this chilly day that I spent five minutes just basking in front of it!
For lunch I had the charred lamb belly with chilli and lime, and the smashed potatoes with herb aioli, both from the Morsels menu.
The lamb was delicious, perfectly cooked, tender, and easy to eat. It was small, as I expected ("Morsels") and just right for lunch with a side of something else.
The potatoes were also delicious, but oh my God, the dinner plate was full to overflowing with them! I'd envisioned a portion size around the same as the lamb - even if you ordered only the potatoes, most people would be hard put to finish the whole plate. I had to leave about two thirds of them.
The service was friendly and not too slow, and I was greeted virtually as soon as I'd sat down & offered a drink while reading the menu.
My only gripe - the long wooden table was sticky, all over. I heard the couple next to me commenting about it also. The moment I put my newspaper on it, I could feel it was tacky, and as soon as I touched it once - well, I didn't want to touch it with my bare skin or my clothing again. I did mention this to the person behind the till as I left, but she didn't seem very interested, and certainly made no move to get someone to clean it. There were only three people at the table at 2pm when I was there, and the entire length of it was sticky (or dirty, which is how my brain translates a sticky table), certainly wasn't so full if people they hadn't had a chance to wipe it. it felt like it needed a good scrub with hot, soapy water.
Apart from this, the food was good, the price ok - $12 for the lamb, $10 for the potatoes.
I'd go back (would check out how clean the tables were first though), and would recommend it to others - and I'd tell them to order the potatoes between at least two people!

I had takeaway fro this restaurant yesterday. They're relatively new, been open a few months.
The menu certainly isn't reminiscent of the typical Australian-style Chinese restaurant that makes us all cringe - all the menu items are modern and interesting.
I had Five Spiced Lamb Cutlets (2 cutlets) for $11 (couple of dollars more on the dine-in menu) from the appetiser selection, and Di San Xian (sautéed potato, capsicum and eggplant) for $14 ( again, a couple of dollars dearer to eat in).
Both were delicious! The Di San Xian was a very generous serve, enough that I'm eating half of it for dinner again tonight!
The lamb cutlets were wonderfully crunchy, not at all oily or soggy (as fried cutlets can often be) while the meat was tender and flavoursome, and the vegetables were tender, with crispy pieces, and again, not soggy or oily.
I checked out the dine-in menu while I was waiting, and it is identical to the take away menu, with each item a couple of dollars more expensive, as one would expect.
I rated the value at 4 stars even though $25 is a bit more than I'd normally pay for take away, because at about $30 for both dishes total if dining in, it would be extremely good value indeed.
Appetisers are from $6 - $16, main courses $18 - $28, soups $8, vegetable dishes $10 - $16, and rice/noodles $10 - $16, with plain steamed rice only $2. This is from the take away menu - as I stated before, items on the dine in menu were, on average, $2 more.
There's a good selection of chicken, beef, lamb, pork, seafood and vegetable dishes, with one duck offering also, and a few traditional Chinese restaurant dishes - spring rolls, chicken & corn soup, wonton soup.
The menu also states there is no MSG.
My experience for the service is necessarily limited - the waitress who took my order was friendly and efficient, and it took about ten minutes to fill my order - which I thought was very reasonable, as I assume they cooked the cutlets to order.
The restaurant is fully licensed, with BYO wine only. I can't comment on corkage, as it obviously isn't listed on the take away menu.
I will certainly be returning to eat in here, and dragging my friends along with me!

This review is for RACT Insurance, Hobart TAS

I have all my car, contents, home building and special items rolled into the one insurance bundle with RACT. You get a 10% discount on the entire premium by bundling them.
I've had claims on my contents, home building and car, and have been happy with all of them.
The claims process is quick and easy, you can lodge a claim over the phone very easily. The assessors seem fair - the assessor for my home building claim was happy to discuss the problem, how it occurred, what the insurance covered & what it didn't (& why it didn't) and didn't treat me like a woman who didn't know anything about building (which I don't!)
My only quibble is that while you are able to pay the premium monthly, it adds several hundred dollars onto the cost - I believe this is probably the same with all insurance companies, but I find it quite stressful having to pay it in one big hit annually.
Otherwise, I'm really happy with them, and wouldn't be looking for a new insurer anytime soon.
Happy to recommend them.
