Ordered a hot chocolate with chilli and cinnamon and it was disappointing - did not combine well, too much cinnamon. Ordered a big breakfast and it was served up tepid - nobody likes a hot breakfast served cold. The sausage was flavourless, only the scrambled eggs were O.K. It is overpriced here with a croissant with ham and cheese costing 11.90 - only 7.50 in Sydney. Big Cold Breakfast $17.00. This cafe is an overpriced tourist trap that lures people in with the promise of great views. Go somewhere else in Leura. Plenty of choices. They also serve a range of deli goods to take away at the front but I did not try those.

Had the best coffee I ever tasted in a country town here strong and hearty and at $4.00 a cup, one of the cheaper options in Mudgee. Have that with a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake for a real treat. Seems like a family run business as the staff were very friendly and attentive. They also have traditional creamy soda - the golden coloured one not the pink creaming soda and it is delicious. Took me straight back to childhood.

Accommodation in Mudgee can be very expensive. This place is comparatively reasonably priced. It has been freshly painted and the beds and pillows are really comfortable and they have a number of family rooms available. It is a good place to stay for a night or two. The Lodge is under new management and the owners very helpful. Good, clean, basic accommodation with great pillow selection (a definite plus) and great shower pressure.

This high end fashion store is a cut above the rest. Firstly the girls always welcome you into the store and cannot do enough to help you - they will bring a range of dresses and sizes to you in the change rooms. If something is not in stock they will track it down and get it in for you. It is not one of those places where you walk in and want to leave immediately because it is too intimidating. There are expensive dresses but also the Ruby range priced at around $160 and great value for work. They also stock a full size range. I might also add they don't go over the top with service - trying to sell you something you know looks awful, they let you decide what you want

I went to a friends Birthday party here. It was upstairs in the Polo lounge, you can hire the lounge for private events, which has gorgeous long leather seats, coffee tables and lamps. In fact it is like the sort of really large sophisticated lounge room you would love to have - but with a life size statue of a horse in it (for some reason). The wine list was good and the drinks were reasonably priced considering the setting and surrounds. I had the house champagne and it was very easy to drink. The thing that was best of all was the happy efficient service - fantastic. Love to see people who actually enjoy what they are doing. I would really recommend this as a venue and the pub downstairs was also welcoming and drinks reasonably priced.

Took one of the kids and a bunch of friends here on the weekend as a birthday celebration. Paid for unlimited ride arm bands for everyone and only managed to get on 4 rides over 6 hours. There were very few suitable rides for this age group 9 years, they were all for older kids or tots. The only redeeming feature is Coney Island, I paid the $10 for an armband for entry, to and accompany the kids and they had a great time on the slides, wonky walk and mirror maze. I wished I'd just purchased the 10 armbands for Coney Island and left it at that. I was surprised at just how few rides there are now and some of the really good ones like the swinging chairs are gone now.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and the food has always been special and the service excellent. I usually go for the Friday lunch which is 3 courses for $45.00 - exceptional value for a fine dining Restaurant like this. The food is French in influence so they do sensational and especially lush desserts which almost always are served with the most surprising yet complementary ice cream. The menu changes every Friday and there are usually 2 or 3 dishes to select from for each course and there are vegetarian options which are also surprisingly delicious.

I really think I just found chocolate Nirvana! From a chocolatier in the Blue Mountains comes this gorgeous silky smooth and creamy fresh chocolate. Beautiful little jars of mixed sprinkles for ice cream (the best topping in the world, or so it says). Mayan hot chocolate mix of vanilla sugar, and a touch of cinnamon or the traditional blend for those who like their chocolate straight. They also have little chocolate shaped spoons to stir your hot milk/chocolate for extra chocolate indulgence. Beautiful shop in French provincial style - using fine Belgian chocolate. I am doing a lot of luxe Christmas/gift shopping here - with a treat or two for me. Some ideas of price choc sprinkles 5.95, set of 3 small choc bars, white/dark/milk 4.50. Hot choc large size 16.95. approx

I conducted some taste tests for this company at venues in the City and they were quite good, worth the effort. I then did an at home test for them and their system failed so my responses were not recorded and no points awarded. I contacted them many times to fix the system error with very poor response and in the end no points were awarded. By all means take part in the external taste tests but treat the home tests with caution as you may spend all your time doing them and not get your reward points or even the time of day, for your efforts as they ignore emails.

Beautiful indie design label, previously called secret squirrell. I really like to support new unique designers that offer stylish clothes that you will not see lots of other people wearing. Some seasons with this label are better than others. Winter 2012 was gorgeous and sold out really quickly. A designer to watch and if you like something get it while you can. One thing, sizes run small.
