What has happened to Wilsons Boathouse, new owners? I have been here many times but sadly our most recent experience means we will not return. In the past we have been served by professional wait staff but on this occasion we were served by a kind, but rather awkward waitress who could benefit from some training. Other staff members were barely out of their teens and one was either extremely short or around 12 years old....owners' daughter? This lovely child brought us our bill which was about $300 short of the actual cost, there was much fuss and bother when we alerted them to the mistake. When making the booking we specifically said that we would be bringing a pram, however we arrived to find that we were seated next to a table of 20+ people. Concerned that the pram would be in the way of other diners, we requested to move tables only to be told "sorry we are fully booked", even though the restaurant was barely occupied at the time. The junior waitress was obviously not familiar with the concept of swapping tables. I understand some restaurants are doing it tough but trying to save costs by putting junior staff (and a child?) on the busiest night of the week is not a smart move. Such a shame as this has been my favourite restaurant for many years.

We love going to this Thai restaurant. The quality is always high, food tastes fresh and the service is prompt. The servings are generous and the restaurant has a nice ambience.

The Roman Empire is ideal for a great night out with friends and family, and it's BYO and Licensed. The menu has something for everyone, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. It's not the ideal destination for a quiet night out as it can be noisy but the Roman Empire does not pretend to be fine dining...those people complaining about the noise need to remember that.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here recently with some family visiting from overseas. The view of the river is unbeatable. The half price menu for lunch made it very good value for money. Most impressive was the staff. Thank you for having plenty of experienced and helpful staff rostered on a Sunday.

The staff here are very honest and down to earth. I have found them to be easy to deal with and very reliable. Have used them for my car servicing as well as tyres for the past year.

We took some friends here for lunch who are new to Brisbane and it was embarassing. Not only was our table not reserved as per my booking, the staff did not come back to take our order. I had to ask someone to take our order. At no time did anyone check to see if we needed anything and I had to ask to have our water glasses refilled and to place a drinks order. It is predictable, but disappointing that businesses put on their cheapest and less experienced staff on Sundays. Is it that hard to train staff on how to look after customers?

It is fantastic to receive such personalised service. I received an email saying my order would be posted that afternoon. The quality of maternity clothing on offer is terrific. What I also liked was the great returns policy, fantastic when you're shopping online. Thank you!
