My recommendation is stay well away from this place.

Took my 7 month old toy poodle here after it had ingested some snail bait. It was the weekend and so there weren't too many vets open at the time.

After a few minutes of being there the staff had evaluated the dog and a vet came out to talk to me. I was told they had tested its gag reflex but they were not able to get it to throw up. They then said it would require overnight treatment and that it would cost between $3000 and $4000. They said that without treatment the dog would most likely die.

I was shocked. Firstly at the prospect of our puppy dying but also at the extraordinarily high cost of treatment (for one night!). It felt like extortion.

I called another emergency vet centre and discussed the situation. They suggested that the cost of treatment should only be around one quarter to on third of what I was quoted.

I quickly took him out of that place. But not before they charged me over $200 for doing very little.

Within 5 minutes of arriving at the other emergency centre they had the dog throwing up the contents of its stomach. They continued to treat him overnight and the dog was fine the next day. They charged me around $1,000 for treating him + some follow up medication.
