A nice place to stop for a coffee and something to satisfy your tastebuds, breakfast here is quite delicious with many options available. But i mainly go here for all the sweet treats, so much choice, such a large selection. I always leave satisfied.
Not just sweet treats but also delicious bacon and eggs on offer. As for the tarts, well my girlfriend loved her lemon tart, many fantastic choices, I know we will be back to try many more. Very friendly atmopshere.
The ambience sounds great, I love a cafe with a great atmosphere. The food sounds fantastic as I love bacon and eggs.
The staff are made to endure a very hot environment with little ventilation, BUT THEY ARE EXCELLENT AT THEIR TASK! The food is the usual fare of pre-baked goodies, and the coffee is really very nice, served with a bottle of water.
Oh, but the aprons, guys, really!?
Swedish Tarts on the aprons of your staff is unsavoury, especially given that the girls were mild and pleasant and dressed well. Love the rustic interior.

The layout of this cafe is pretty schmick with a nice 'wooden' artistic feel. As with most artistic things, they come with a price tag and the smoothies are no exception. I came here for a breakfast tea and was pretty impressed with the herbal chai tea blend they make. I love my tea with textured soy milk and it went splendidly with their chai blend. A nice addition was the shredded ginger pieces that gave it that extra 'oomph'. Similarly the rooibos tea was nyummy. The menu was pretty extensive and included some rich looking salads 'ready to go' as well as some more 'gourmet' ones to order. Definitely a place that would cater to all dietary preferences as long as you've got the dosh ;)

I went here for breakfast recently with my family. It has a great feel to it with wood and art and a little bit eclectic. The food is really nice, I had an omelette and a fresh orange juice. It has a bit of a home made feel about it and of course the staff serve it with a smile and a bit of friendly banter.
I used to go there every now and then when I was vegetarian and it was ok, I loved the haloumi salad and you can get a BOWL of hot chocolate, not particularly cheap though. However, then I went vegan and hadn't been there for a while. I was organising a brunch with some friends and suggested we try the place, as it is always very busy and I thought my friends would like it. I emailed first and explained that I was looking at booking a table for a brunch but there would be a vegan and asked if they had any vegan options. The reply I got back was that yes there were lots of vegan options, just ask the person at the counter and they'll point them out to you. So I booked the brunch and we went but when I asked at the counter about vegan options they said they didn't have any! I told them about my email reply and they said well, we don't have anything except this salad. I didn't want to have salad for breakfast and finally one of the girls said they could make the muesli with fresh berries, without yoghurt and then put soy milk on it. Great, so I had that. When I got it though, the bottom of the bowl (where the fresh berries were) was suspisioucly creamy and tangy, I think the berries were actually in yoghurt anyway! I was so hungry by this point that I just ate it. I won't be eating there again though.
Must say their Lentil and Sweet Potato Pie is well worth it, being a vegatarian I am always on the lookout for veggie pies, and this one is well worth heading down to Semaphore to try!
Great place but recently when you order a slice of cake the slice is a slither!! Same price WTF!!! And you have to clear your table from the previous customer.Great I am looking for somewhere else now.

Love this place! Have been here several times and it keeps getting better! Meals are well priced ad very generous servings, and the home baked cakes and tarts are to die for. Everything is made from scratch in the cafe! Must try the traditional Swedish scab cake!

This used to be one of my favorite cafes at Semaphore as i loved their lentil pies and pumpkin pies BUT then one day i got a pie with MOLD on the bottom. I got it as a 'take away' so when i called to tell them, they didn't believe me!! I avoided the place for a few mths, but thought i would give them a second try., so went back in and told them last time there was MOLD so they checked the bottom and there was no mold, but when i got home and opened the top off the pie there was MOLD inside!!!! Never been back since and wouldn't try them again. I will admit the food is good (when its not moldy!) but the staff are rude and slow and i wouldn't trust the food there again!
