After writing our car off near Hawker, we had to figure out how to get back to adelaide in time for work monday morning. We had meet people at the petrol station that were going to Pt. Augusta, so we just had to figure out how to get to adelaide. We rang avis and got an answering service - left a message not really expecting anything at 6pm on a sunday night.
They called us back strainght away and said that they could arrange a car for us.
So 15minutes before we got to Pt Augusta we rang again and the woman who owns the business came out at 8pm and found us a car, filled it with petrol and said we could arrange payment when we got back to Adelaide.

It was so easy, we were so thankful because we couldn't really deal with anymore stress after the weekend we had just had!

Returned the car in adelaide, everyone was so nice and helpful.

We went down to buy timber and gyprock for a project - what a drama.
I was with my partner, although it was my project and he was just there for muscles.
The guys kept referring back to him, even though he kept saying ask Jo, she knows what she wants.
When we came to put the stuff in the trailer, a sales assistant said that the gyprock would break. Ok. We asked for a solution - by now there were four guys standing around in fluro vests - no one could think of a way to get this stuff home without damaging it.

Finally another customer came over and told us how he transports his gyprock in a trailer - using "cover sheets". SO we asked if we could have or buy some cover sheets, the answer.... "no". So we dragged the $600 worth of gyprock out of the trailer and left.
We also had our entire car and persons searched before they would let us out of the warehouse - they even checked the glovebox!

I renovate my bathroom six months ago and these guys were fantastic.
I did 90% of it myself getting my info from the web and going and asking questions at home hardware. The guys got to know me by name and really cared about my project.
No matter how silly my question was, they took the time to put me on the right path. I bought a range of products from timber and nails to render and tile adhesive.

I could have bought it cheaper at bunnings, but the 17 year old girl in the fixtures aisle looked to me like I was an alien when I asked her if 9mm screws were big enough for the job I was doing.

They carried all my render and tile adhesive out to my car for me, and all crowded around and congratulated me when I brought in photos of the finished bathroom!

The staff and menu seems to change every few weeks.
The first two meals we had there we great for pub food, but the third time we went they wouldn't let me have a beef parmi, I could only get a chicken parmi, they had beef schnitzel with mushroom sauce on the menu, but wouldn't accommodate making it into a parmi for me.
The cheese and mustard bread was just cheese melted on white bread - no mustard to be seen or tasted.
Also they have changed the lighting the in the bars - it is now so dark you can hardly read the menu.

Have had a lot of take away from here and I stick with the safe stuff, honey or lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, short soup. Their take aways are always hot and freshly cooked. Every time I go to pick up the restaurant is full, which I think is a good sign.

Finally dined in and had a wonderful experience. Choose six dished to share between four of us and we tried some more adventurous stuff. Everything was yummy, fresh and hot!

The place was packed - you definitely need to book!

Went there last sunday morning, wasn't sure of the opening time so we were there a little early.
Straight away everyone was friendly, I work in coffee so I was happy to look, but my partner always has 1001 questions about how things work and I can't believe the patience they had with him! He choose three blends that he wanted to try and they were happy to make coffee for us from each one. Ended up buying 250g of png coffee that had only been roasted the day before!

Would like to go back in a busy time to see if the service holds up - but I suspect it will!

They have three tables inside and about eight outside. I didn't look at their menu, but they had a range on cakes and muffins on display.

We drove 15mins to get there and it was definately worth it!

I'm not a very fashionable stylish girl, and I hate having my hair cut due to a very bad experience. Several people had recommended these guys to me. So I took the plunge and booked in for a cut AND colour!

I was seen by three people in total. A young girl who washed my hair and gave me a wonderfully relaxing head massage, then the colour specialist who listened to what I wanted and was honest about the condition of my hair and the amount of chemical it would take. Then finally a really out there guy who cut my hair. He said that I had the longest hair he had ever seen, he immediatly wanted to cut it to a "sensible" length but did listen when I said that i wanted to keep the lenght. He took the time to show me how to blow dry my hair properly, didn't make me feel silly for not knowing these things.

I went to the hairdressers and had a good time! I never thought that would happen!
When i went to pay I expected somewhere around the $300 mark, but it came to $145. I wouldn't spend that amount of money every six weeks but I thought it was a great price for the amount of service I got!

The guys here are so friendly and helpful. The have a huge range and always have what i want - if its just a carton of beer or some abstract sherry for cooking they are always happy to find it for me.
Everyone is always smiling and willing to have a quick chat, no matter how busy they are.

I went in to find candle wicks, and discovered an amazing store of bits and pieces. Both the staff members were really friendly - even thought I only spent $3.50 on that occasion.
They sell paints and pencils, sketch books and canvas, beads and masking making supplies.... i could go on and on.
I would definitely give them a look.

I was with goodlife - but so many rules!
At fitness first they are open 7 days, all day. No time limits on the cardio equipment - so I can do a 40min workout. Friendly reception staff who always greet you with a smile, access to a wide range of personal trainers. Some of the most enthusiastic group class instructors that I have ever come across. It is a pleasure to exercise!
