This review is for The Lakes Pantry, North Lakes QLD

The Lakes Pantry is a non-profit church based organisation that provides low-discounted food items for families in need. They provide free fruit, veg and bread with all other non perishable items at an extremely low-discounted cost. All you pay is a one off $10 lifetime membership fee.
I visited the Pantry for the first time today, not sure what to expect. I am so glad I went. The people who were running it were beautiful, friendly and warm, caring people who embraced and welcomed every person that entered. They stopped and made an effort to speak to EVERYONE, despite the volumes of people arriving, they worked so hard to make sure everyone got the opportunity to benefit from the service they provide; making sure it was fair and everyone got a fair go. Aside from the free produce that they kindly offer, the prices of the shelf items were extremely low, you could not beat them anywhere else. I thought there had to be a catch, so checked the use by dates.... they were no different to the dates you would find in Coles or Woolies.
If I had to come up with one negative comment about the place (and I am really scraping the barrel as I have nothing but positive things to say) it would be that due to the popularity of the place, it is VERY busy, and the free items disappear very quickly. Be prepared to get there early and queue. That said, I've probably queued longer in Aldi on pension day before, and for these guys it was definitely worth it. For families or pensioners looking for a bit of help to feed themselves, I would definitely recommend it.

This review is for Property Lovers, Burpengary QLD

I rented through Property Lovers for 2 years. They are a small team of real estate agents in Burpengary who service the Moreton region. The staff are efficient and professional with a good understanding of RTA legislation, however I did find that when communicating with them they looked down upon me as a renter. They can be quite belittling and forceful, and really put you down if they find anything wrong with an inspection. Renters should be careful that their place is immaculate for inspections; I was breached because despite mowing and whipper snipping, my edges were a tiny bit longer than the rest of the lawn. That being said, they were upfront with what was required of me, and made sure I understood it all by explaining in details, so they cannot be accused of being vague or non forthcoming. If you can accept the standards, your experience will be fine.

This review is for Murri Dental, Caboolture QLD

Thank goodness for Murri Dental! As a client of Murri Medical I decided to try their dental service, and will never go to another dentist again. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they put you at ease and keep communications open. The service they provide is A1; they are thorough and professional, listen to everything that you say and help you with any concerns. I was terrified about having some work done, and a beautiful staff member actually came in, held my hand and told me jokes to make the experience better. You don't get that level of care very often! They are brilliant with children; my son was nervous about going, the dentist played with him and made the experience fun.... now he wants to go back! If you do not private medical cover, they are a very affordable option for dental care, extremely good value considering the high level of service you get, I have paid much more for a worse service elsewhere. All general check up appointments include a full clean and fluoride wash; check ups are approx $120, fillings are approx $50. Would not go anywhere else now

This review is for The Club Tavern, Caboolture QLD

verified email - 15 May 2013

The Tavern is one of those places that you can tell what you are going to get just by looking at it from outside. It is divided into 3 sections; bar / drinking area, gaming room, and family / restaurant room. I have eaten at the restaurant with and without our children a number of times. The menu is good value for money and the food is very nice, however the staff in the kitchen can be quite rude if you ask for anything, and on one occasion I witnessed an unhygienic practice occurring (it is an open kitchen that can be viewed from the restaurant) which was offputting. If you have children, there is a decent, secure and air-conditioned play area and computer games room which can be viewed from every part of the restaurant. The children loved it. The games area has a wide selection of pokie machines, and is quite busy most of the time. I have only been in the front bar once; and will never go in there again. The floors were sticky, the tables were dirty, and the customers were loud and aggressive due to intoxication. This is the norm.

This review is for Australia Zoo, Beerwah QLD

Have now visited Australia Zoo three times. Never has it disappointed me or my family. The land it is situated is vast and beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the variety of animals is second to none, it is a great opportunity to view animals from around the world. Great and plentiful amenities throughout. Our favourite part was the croc show in the crocoseum, you get to interact with the animals and the show is spectacular, if not nail biting when they get so close to the crocs. All the staff throughout the Zoo are friendly and very knowledgable about the animals, and will always stop and talk to the kids with interest and enthusiasm. If I had to come up with one negative aspect, it would be that there is so much to see that you really need to plan your day properly to get the most from it; because there is so much to do and see! It is a great legacy to the late Steve Irwin, and a must see experience.

This review is for Kmart Tyre & Auto, Caboolture QLD

verified email - 14 May 2013

You cannot fault the value you get with most KMart services and products, and their auto is no exception. For budget conscious customers, KMart provides value for money. If you want better quality products or services then you may wish to look for another service provider; KMart Auto provides a cost effective service option, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The staff at Caboolture KMart Auto are very knoweledgeable and friendly; when they say they'll do something, they do it. When they say they'll call, they call. And if they quote a price on something, that is the total you will pay. An honest, budget auto service provider.

This review is for Caboolture Christian Child Centre, Caboolture QLD

verified email - 14 May 2013

My children have been through this centre since they opened in 2009. I now have one remaining child there; I love this centre. The staff are beautiful, caring, nurturing and kind. The centre is very well cared for, decorated and maintained. Christian ethics are maintained in the centre however everyone is made to feel welcome. I felt they prepared my eldest well for when he transitioned to prep, and they have now done a great job with my daughter who had separation anxiety; she looks forward to going now! The staff are attentive and listen to the parents; I have complete confidence in leaving my children in their care
