This review is for Kraemer Chiropractics, Caboolture QLD

The only chiropractic clinic I would ever go to! The owners, Carmen and Kevin Kraemer are the friendliest, most helpful and informative chiropractors I have ever encountered, and their clinic is very clean and nicely designed. Carmen has treated myself and my whole family, from my (then) 7 month old daughter, to my 65 year old mother in law. I can honestly say that without Carmen I would not be walking properly and my daughter would not have been diagnosed with hip problems (which had been previously missed by GPs and paeds). Carmen was quick to detect our complaints and treat them effectively, AND FIX THEM!! I will always be thankful to her for the service she provides. If anyone needs a chiro that is great with both children and adults, Kraemer Chiropractics is the only one I would recommend.

This review is for The Cheese Cake Shop, Caboolture QLD

I have bought a couple of baked cheesecakes and the treasure cake from this shop. Every time I have gone in there, I have had to wait for ages for any sort of acknowledgement from the staff, as they are always socially chatting to friends in store. This is definitely not a shop to go to if you are in a rush. The staff are quite blunt and unfriendly; the last time I tried to compliment the person on their delicious cheesecakes and was given a filthy look, she just put her hand out to ask for payment. Poor service aside, there is no denying that their cheesecakes are divine, if it weren't for the sizeable effect they have on my body I could eat them all day. The prices seemed quite high the first time I went, but after tasting their products I think they are definitely worth their cost. Yum! Just wish the service matched the quality of the cakes.

Great vibe and atmosphere. Grand feeling upon entering this building. Great selection of pokies to choose from. Meals are tasty and great value. We go more in the daytime, haven't been in the evening for a while, but last time I went of an evening was very popular with the younger crowd. Well maintained, would definitely recommend to people of all ages.

Great butcher to use at xmas time - we got a good leg of ham from them and it was DELICIOUS !The butcher gave me some great tips for prepping and cooking my ham, he had it made to order (as I wanted a smaller uncooked one) and gave me a great price. I would definitely shop there again for our xmas meats.

Having read the other reviews I realise I am certainly not alone in my opinions. I try and avoid going here, but when I have, I always have to wait AGES to be served, then the girls behind the desk are too busy chatting with each other or a mate to actually serve you properly. Last week I went in asking them to send a fax for me, the girl went to do it, then came back and said to me 'what are you looking at?' I said I was waiting for send confirmation, she told me they were busy and I had to move to the side. A bit of friendly customer service would go a long way in that place.

Trying to put a positive spin on the place, they have a good selection of envelopes in the shop. :/

This review is for Sunnymeade Park Managed Estate, Caboolture QLD

verified email - 20 Jun 2013

My father in law resides in Sunnymeade, in high care. Service wise, they provide everything to suit client needs, and many of the staff are very friendly and pro-active. The activities and external entertainment / OT are OK, many residents get involved which is great to see. The actually nursing home is quite dated, although in the last couple of years they finally replaced the smelly carpet. It has a 70's feel about it and could do with updating, but nothing is broken etc. The kitchen provides some really good meals, and visitors are allowed to pay for a meal to enjoy in the dining room with their rellies if they wish. I would probably recommend more for low care than high care, due to the number of trainees and high staff turnover.

Since discovering this website, I have never paid full price for accommodation! I only wish I had discovered it sooner, their offers cannot be beaten, in my opinion it is even better than TripAdvisor. I also like the 'Mystery Hotel Deal' - we were a bit wary of what we would end up with when we chose the 4 star deal - and ended up better than expected accommodation in the centre or Brisbane at half the price of the direct cost we had previously enquired about! They also have very detailled descriptions on the amenities and location, and you can read other users' experiences on the same page, which also includes an opportunity for the accommodation owner to respond to.
Trust me - whether you want 1st class 5 star, or basic and budget, get it through wotif.com and pay a portion of the retail price. Stay for 5 + days in certain places and save hundreds!

This review is for Caboolture Swimming Pool, Caboolture QLD

2 weeks ago I would have given 5 stars for value as well, but as of this week I have had to reduce it. However that is not to say that I am disappointed! My son has participated in the Learn To Swim Program since January (Term 1) and has progressed very quickly, thanks to the fantastic instructors. Instructors are very kind, great with the kids and are experienced at communicating with kids of all ages. Even the shyest, most timid child will gain water confidence quickly. They provide great opportunities advancement through squad training etc. All lessons are conducted in an indoor heated pool, which is closed to the public during lesson times. Average class size is 4/5.
The prices for term 3 have increased by $2 per lesson from Term 2, hence my initial comment, which I found disappointing as it is now the same price as Burpengary Aquatics, however for the location and convenience and staff familiarity it remains my preferred swim school - just don't increase the prices anymore please! :)

Approximate cost: $14 per lesson

This review is for Go Sushi, Morayfield QLD

verified email - 04 Jun 2013

As the only member of my family who enjoys sushi, this is my 'go-to' sushi bar. I am actually salivating thinking about it!!!! With the recent additions of sushi trains everywhere, it is great to have a counter sushi facility, where I can choose to chow down on some of their wide selection of large sushi rolls, or buy a pre-packed selection. Their prices are quite reasonable, range is great, food is fresh and it's a perfect snack f you are sick of the regular fast food offered in the shopping centre. Staff are polite and efficient. Can't go wrong.

This review is for Islander Backpacker Resort, Surfers Paradise QLD

This is backpacker heaven! For a budget traveller this accommodation provides a bit of luxury for weary feet. I have stayed in the dorms of the backpacker section of this hotel / hostel, and couldn't believe how spoilt I felt! The dorm I stayed in had large windows with spectacular ocean views, the rooms were large than the norm, but the biggest surprise was that even as hostel guests we were allowed to use the swimming pool and other amenities of the adjoining Islander Hotel Resort. The rooms and amenities were immaculate, and the location was great, walking distance to all local attractions and yet in a peaceful setting. Definitely worth a look!
