This review is for Khan's Curries, Atherton QLD

People travel afar for Khan's Curries, including me. Having lived not far from Atherton for several years, I will always collect a curry if I am travelling through. Others travel many miles.

I have been a fan of Indian curries for many, many years now and have sampled curries from many, many restaurants around the world, Khan's would have to be in the top 5 for me.

Mild, medium, hot, and blow your head off hot, just as Khan and he will make it for you. Not on the menu, just ask!

There's the usual curries and then there's the special ones which are always a hit. Go on, try something that's a bit different.

Used to be another almost local pub. The pub is quite impressive in it's size and age although it does need a lot of working doing to it.

Recent renovations inside the main bar etc have improved the shabby decor.

Another must do spot for a beer on your way through. The food is good pub food, not restaurant quality but good value.

The beers are always cold and there's always a real local holding up the bar whenever you go in.

TAB at one end and pool and pokies at the other.

There's a separate more formal restaurant as well as having a few basic motel style rooms out the back for over nighting guests.

If visiting the Tablelands, another must do pub on the travel plans.

Great position overlooking the palm laden beach of the northern tropics.

Food is of acceptable quality although it felt as if it wasn't prepared with the most love in the world. Wonderful place to sit back and enjoy a cold drink or three and maybe lunch or an evening meal.

One of the best positions for a relaxing beer in Perth, although not so relaxing on a Friday night!

The food is always high quality restaurant food and can be enjoyed overlooking the marvelous ocean.

The service isn't always the most prompt but I guess the best things come to those who wait ;-)

A visit to the Tablelands wouldn't be complete with a sinking a cold one here.

The historic Peeramon Hotel has gone through a lot after seeing 100 years of history and almost getting wiped out by cyclone Larry in 2006.

This used to be my local, a good old fashioned pub with pub food and great hospitality.

Wonderful views to kick back on the veranda, relax and joy an ice cold beer.

I recently decided to get back into cycling again and took my old one in to get a quote to get it back on the road again. Unfortunately, the cost of repair was too much so I bought a new one.

The bike I wanted was not available any longer as the new 2012 models were coming out in the next few months and the next model was the one above and significantly more expensive. The owner of the shop did everything he could to reduce the cost and it came out not too much more than the lower model. They even delivered the bike to my home and gave the next 6 bike services for free.
They were polite and friendly and I would recommend.

I have eaten here a number of times along with my partner and have enjoyed it every time.

Ranging from a full on shared seafood platter to a trio of dips or sipping on a cocktail and watching the sunset and the waves. This place is perfectly situated, courteous and friendly staff and the pizzas are always great for something easy or to takeaway (although a bit pricey).

Approximate cost: $30.00

We moved into the area 8 months ago and tried the food at the tavern. Since recovering from that experience, we tried it again back in April and I have to say, it's worse!

I have the parmy and the better half had a special whcih was tempura fish. I don't know what sort of fish it was but I've never seen thick grissle in fish like it. My partner struggled with it and then I tried and was nearly sick! My parmy was like a piece of thin cardboard (and it tasted like it), I couldn't find the chicken!

I would recommend all to steer clear of the food, but the views and the beer are great!

Approximate cost: $25.00
