I became a patient of Dr Julieanne Graham here when it first opened. Being VERY unwell at the time, at one point or another I saw all of the doctors....sometimes a couple at once, and the poor practice nurse had to do a drip for me more often than she should have.
I loved the clinic. The staff are absolutely brilliant.
Unfortunately my doctor changed to another clinic and I followed her.
I would definitely recommend Mayfair!
My partner had suspected sleep apnoea and was referred here for a sleep study. She was very nervous but the staff were wonderful at helping her relax.
Once the study was complete we had a follow up appointment and she was 'fitted' for a CPAP machine. The lady who talked us through it all was lovely and very understanding.
Be aware, though, that this is a clinic for patients with private health cover.
I found, after trying several different doctors in this centre, that, in general, you go there for VERY basic stuff ONLY.
The doctors do not listen, shove you through like cattle, and hand over prescriptions when asked without even checking why you need them.
Always packed, as they bulk bill.
Avoid!
This was one of my main pharmacies when we lived in the area. It's just an easy place to use, as it's in the shopping centre.
Everything you expect from a pharmacy and good, friendly, knowledgeable staff make coming here a pleasant experience.
I emailed lite n easy only about 6 weeks ago, explaining that I have a food allergy, and asking if they could work around that in order for me to join them.
The email I received in response was short and, I felt, quite rude. It basically said 'no, we don't allow for that. If you want to see what you can have, read all the ingredients of all of our dishes'. Helpful? Not when the allergy is onion and is not necessarily listed on their ingredients list.
Needless to say I am not using them. Instead I am following the plan of my mate who WON The Biggest Loser in 2012, and have lost 11kg so far.
We hired some a post digger from here when we were making an extra fence for our dogs, and were quite happy with their prices.
There is not a HUGE variety of things to choose from, but there is most of what you need for basic jobs.
Having, unfortunately, spend most of my childhood holidays in Bali with no sunscreen, I have quite a few areas that need keeping an eye on. I was sent here on the recommendation of my father.
I was very happy with how thorough they were and the cleanliness of the facilities. It's somewhere I will definitely keep using when we are back up that way next year.
We were renting a house on Russell, and one of the local kids threw a rock through our front window. We called Gary (I'm sure that was his name) and he came out within a couple of hours, replaced the window, and even cleaned up all his mess before he left, as well as giving us a detailed receipt so we could take it to the real estate.
Capalaba Wreckers is HUGE. We needed parts for our son's first car and headed here, as it was our local wrecker. After a hello to the resident birds, we headed in with our list and were taken care of by a lovely man who systematically went though our list and got everything we needed out of the cars for us, checked them over, and then gave us a great deal as a bulk price.
We have also sold an old, unwanted car to them. They came to our house, paid cash and took it away. Easy transaction.
Highly recommended.
Gorgeous fish and seafood restaurant which is centrally located in Vicki Point in the shopping centre complex area.
Lovely battered, crumbed and grilled fish and seafood, with all the expected extras.
Their tartare sauce is SO good.
They have a good, varied menu, including kids meals like nuggets and chips for less than $6.
This is a lovely, very well-priced place for lunch or dinner!
Approximate cost: $10 and up
