Since handover, we've had multiple roof leaks, each time we've had to fight Metricon to get them fixed. Their site supervisors (the ones you speak to after handover for warranty issues) only job is to find excuses not to fix issues. In our case, we had solar panels installed 2-3 years ago. Metricon came and fixed an issue with duct work not being connected to the vents in our roof in September. A few months later, that exact duct was leaking water when it rained, yet Metricon are saying they won't fix it because we had solar panels installed. That's just one example, each warranty issue we've raised has been a fight about whose responsibility / problem it is.

Don't waste your time building with Metricon. There are so many other builders that have better post-handover support.

Tyiler's Concrete did a small concreting job for us back in March 2023. There were multiple issues with the work, firstly the concrete is not at all level or straight, it pools water and has no run off. Secondly, despite us paying for 3 coats of sealant, he did 2 coats, and got sealant on our bricks, retaining wall, fence, gas meter, and electricity box.
He then left all of his rubbish on our front lawn (planks of wood he was using to walk on) and disappeared. Despite dozens of attempts to contact him, he's not answering any of our calls. He's also avoiding calls from the Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria.
He's still advertising on various service sites, including this one, and still responds to quote requests, so he's definitely still around, he's just avoiding us.
If you do a Google search for Pozvek Concreting you will find a thread where multiple people have been ripped off, so I'm definitely not the first.
We're still (a year later) preparing legal action, so I highly recommend finding someone else to do any concreting work.
