The pho noodle soup is one of the best I've had. The broth has a complexity of flavours that is truely amazing.
The service is very quick and casual. It's a good place to grab a quick hearty lunch.
Every year my husband takes me on a date there for my birthday. It's such a treat! I love the flavours of thai - Australian fusion. Menu changes seasonally but some items stay the same. We always have the eggnet. It's delicious! If they have the soft shell crab on the menu, definetly order it. The combination of flavours will send your tongue dancing away! Love it.
Approximate cost: $60
A modern Australian cuisine but lacks a little gusto. We went early December 2011 for my mother in-laws' birthday. The place had a good atmosphere but the food was 'good' not great. I had the gnocchi and that was well cooked (gorgeous puffy pillows of potato) but the dish as a whole was lacking in flavour. I was a little disappointed.
The service was great and very professional. Overall, not sure if i would visit again.
Have been coming here for years and absolutely love it! After introducing friends to Cardens, we often go there to catch up.
The food is delicious and very affordable when compared to other similar restaurants. My favourites are the oysters creole and the big seafood platter for two is to die for. Yum! My husband always has the porterhouse with pepper sauce (he often dreams about them...hehehe). Portions are big and meals come with sides.
The service is fabulous and as we have been coming for years, the Maitre D' greets us by name. Excellent service! She even recalls what my husband has.. Cardens has the warmth of a good little family restaurant. I love dining there..................
