A very good local pub. They have top-notch beer, which has won awards and the such. Great service, and it has both inside and outside seating (plus outdoor heating as well). Very quaint feel to it (but very dark inside) as well.
A quirky pub in Canberra. Can get very tight for space inside, but it has such a great atmosphere. Even the sitting is a little different, with small cubes to old-fashioned lounges. Decent prices and decent service. The live acts are great fun as well (I remember one time an act took a call from his mum. It was very funny).
A good place for a get-together with friends. The meals are decent (I've had better), but are reasonably priced and arrive in fair enough time. Lots of sitting available, and lots outside if you want to brave the cold. Inside has a nice Irish feel to it. Heaps of performers too.
A nice little store, filled with notch-top Tassie gifts. Not limited to products made with wood, with also plush toys and hand towels (and the such) as well. Very pricey though, but a nice place to look at because the items have been made very, very well.
This store has greatly improved over the years. It is now bigger and newer. The items are fresher than before. However, the items at the store are really expensive and so I am wary of buying stuff from here.
A good site. You get regular emails that you can click on for points, plus there are heaps of shopping partners that you can use to get extra points (plus they have some discount codes to other sites as well). Service is nice and quick, and they were able to fix the problems I had quickly. A good selection of rewards, but I'm a bit sad that paypal is no longer an option.
A great place to grab a quick bite to eat on the upper floor of Canberra Centre with plenty of sitting to choice from. Different yet exciting varieties of pies are available, though I though found that they were a little expensive. Service is decent.
A great selection of fruit and vegetables, and only a short walk from Westfield Belconnen/bus station. There are so many different stores for fruit and vegetables, meat (including fresh seafood and kangaroo meat etc), bakeries and specialist stores (such as delis and organic foods). The prices are great and the variety is better than any old supermarket. A worthwhile trip, though only open during selected days of the week.
A great place to get a coffee while on ANU campus (they have a student discount too). Great range of drinks: chai latte, hot chocolates, tea etc. And so many different varieties of each as well. They do breakfast, lunch and early dinner as well. A great range of everything and at reasonable prices too.
An alright place to eat on the edge of ANU campus. They have yum cha, which is nice. But a lot of the stuff there can be very bland and tasteless. The sichuan food is very spicy though and can be very tasty. Easy to have group dinners there and it has a nice, Chinese atmosphere.
