I visited here on a trip to Townsville. We have a lot of quality Indian Restaurants in my home town so my expectations are perhaps high. The service was very friendly, and the staff member was knowledgeable and accommodating with dietary requirements.

The meals were decent size but food itself was not as good as I had hoped. The flavour was lacking a little and the meat was not good quality (I had lamb which was very fatty). The price was a bit high for the quality.

Approximate cost: $33

We visited this restaurant while on holidays in Townsville. They have a buffet dinner that is $25 and is excellent value. It included a range of rice, noodles, meats, fresh prawns and crab, salad, desserts and about 8 flavours of icecream. The food was delicious and fresh, and the waitress was very friendly. You can also order Al La Carte if you prefer, and they have banquet options (which looked good from what I saw).

We would definitely recommend this restaurant, and if I lived here I would go regularly!

Approximate cost: $25

I love this place as its often hard to find somewhere with gluten free options at reasonable prices. Everything here is gluten free so you can be assured that your food is not contaminated. Last time I went here they did make a mistake with my takeaway order but they gave me some free fudge as a snack while I waited for my order to be made again so I thought that was great service.

I love going to the harvest market on Saturdays to buy fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. The selection available is great! We usually visit every 2-3 weeks and stock up. The market is always very busy and also offers snacks, drinks, light meals, etc.

I came here with a group of about ten friends on a busy night - we didn't have a booking but they fitted us in. You have to go pay/order at the bar and then the meals are brought to the table. The meals were pretty quick considering how busy it was. One steak was not cooked as ordered so they took that back and ordered the person free drink while they were waiting which was great. Unfortunately the tables are packed in tightly with a lot of seats squished in - the seat next to me had a column in the wall behind it I'm not sure how any person could ever fit in there. Overall though the prices are good, service was great and the food was great as well.

I've been here twice for dinner with large groups of people and I thought it was quite good. Last time I went there they came and took the orders as soon as we were ready and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. The service was not too good with the drinks though - we ordered some at the table and they took half an hour to arrive, but you could go up to the bar and get them instead which was quicker. We had two tables and unfortunately they were way too close together, it was really hard to get up out of your seat at all.

I've been here twice now and its not somewhere I would choose to go back unless invited to a dinner. The location is really nice as is the setting. The food is also very nice and fresh. Last time I went there, there was a bit of a wait to be served but nothing unreasonable. The down side though is the price - it's expensive and the serves can be quite small (not very filling). It's nice for a special occasion but too expensive for other times.

This review is for Red Brick Road Ciderhouse, Launceston TAS

This is a little local ciderhouse in the city. The ciderhouse itself is very small and doesn't have a lot of seating - it is usually quite crowded, and you may have to stand wherever you can so unless you get a seat or table the setting is not always ideal. It can be quite loud in there also. The cider here however is delicious - they will give you tasters of whats on tap to try if you are a first timer, and then you can purchase one off tap. The atmosphere is good when its not TOO crowded. I go here every now and then, and enjoy trying the new ciders on tap and relaxing with a glass of local cider.

We stopped here for the food more than the beer - I don't like beer myself but the concept of the tasting paddles was very cool. It was very busy the day we went there as we had to wait for a table, but still the service was very quick. The meals were a reasonable price and size, and they were quite enjoyable. I had a pizza which was the perfect size and tasty. The atmosphere inside was nice, and the setup was nice as well with different types of table settings (some with chairs, some stools) both inside and outside.

This review is for Baan Sabai Jai Thai, Albury NSW

I recently dined here while on holiday in Albury. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and they even served free tea while we were waiting for our meals. The food was quick and fresh. It is not among the top thai restuarents I have been too (I didn't enjoy the food that much) but the 3 others with me enjoyed it a lot more so may be it was what I ordered. The prices were very reasonable, and the serving sizes were quite large so we left full.
