I haven't eaten here but I have just been here for drinks on a Friday night at the rooftop bar. It is an outdoor bar with a great view. It is really nice on a warm night in Summer, but can get very busy. There is also an inside part as well. Get there early on a Friday night before it gets too busy!
I have eaten here a couple of times, the food is really nice and the atmosphere is pretty cool as well. The food is really great value and the service is usually pretty speedy. Good location just off Fitzroy St.
Great ice cream and gelati. It can get very busy during Summer - it isn't open all year round, which can be a bit annoyign as I like ice cream in Winter too. It is very nice to grab an ice cream and just stroll down Acland St and do some window shopping!
I have eaten here on a few different occasions, the meals have always been very nice, and huge - entree size is big enough!, the gelati for dessert is also huge and very hard to get through. They cater well for groups as well in their upstairs room.
Had a casual Sunday night dinner here - it was very nice, a wide variety of meals on the menu. Quick service, friendly staff. There is also a nice outside area on the street which is a great place to sit and watch the people go by.

Great local fish & chip shop. Fish is cooked nicely and chips are cooked well. They often throw in a few extra potato cakes as well.
Windows is a really nice place to eat. I went here for a birthday dinner and the service was outstanding (the waiter even moved us to another table after I spilt a drink all over ours!), really nice wines and beautiful food. It is not cheap and I'd really only go there on a special occasion, but definitely worth it. I went at night, but during the day there is a great view of the water.
We had a really nice dinner here, the food is a little bit different but in a good way. They manage to put a new spin on some traditional dishes. The service was a little slow the night we were. The portion sizes aren't really big, that was OK for me but others that I was eating with would have liked larger. It is reasonably expensive too.
Beautiful winery at Red Hill with views over Westernport Bay and Phillip Island. I have only been here for coffee and cake, but the restaurant meals looked lovely as well. There is an indoor and outdoor section which is perfect on a warm day during Summer. There is a also a grassed area which also overlooks the water. Coffee & cake was a little bit pricey, and I would imagine the restaurant prices would be as well. I found the staff to be really friendly.
I have been here twice and have been really happy on both occasions. The meals were really nice and the service excellent. There are a few tables on the footpath which are great in warm weather. The have a great selection of dips that are huge and they keep bringing out bread (so much that I was almost too full for my main!). Good value for money as well.
