I was running late with my two kids and literally ran on and they were very accommodating. The ferry pulled away just as we reached the lift - very lucky. I was tolf by a friend that they do NOT wait as they never run late so I guess we were very lucky. The kids loved it and it was a peaceful journey. Loved looking at all the fabulous houses in Portsea along the way. AND the dolphins were amazing! The cafe is well stocked and not over priced. The ferry is clean and very enjoyable.

Look, the pancakes are good but the service is average and its expensive. They could try a little harder to make you feel more welcome. They do however provide paper and crayons for the kids which is nice. I had no help with a pram and two kids which was not nice! A seasonal place that I'm sure picks up in the Summer. As mentioned, the pancakes are pretty good though!!

My family have been a loyal customer of Danny's for over 20 years. He is fabulous with the animals and they respond very well to him. We appreciate his no nonsense and sensible approach to all matters. He is thorough and explains everything. I have a rather difficult dog and he is wonderful with him. It is expensive but I don't mind paying the cost because I know that Danny would only ever do what is necessary for your pet. We travel from Rye to Hampton for our dog to be seen by Danny. Highly recommend.

I have been going here for years and they can always make an appointment for you (even if your own GP is booked out). The staff behind the counter are kind,courteous and efficient. The nurse is just lovely and was very helpful with my little girl. They used to have a little room for kids to play in which was also handy to breastfeed in but it has since been removed. They don't bulk bill but the quality is this service provider is excellent so I don't mind paying. It is a very well kept and clean facility.

The staff are very friendly here and they have a great selection of imported goods, not found at other IGA's. They are expensive though. The fresh produce is great. I think their meat case selection could be improved though. (amount available and choice) The adjoining liquor shop is well stocked and presented well.

I have been here for coffee and cake, pre-dinner drinks, a hens night and a few glasses of wine here and there and they never disappoint! Whatever the reason for being here they staff are friendly and happy to help. Kids are welcome in the front bar which is handy and they have tables and chairs on the footpath out front so you can enjoy your drink and watch the world go by!

We popped in here for a quiet drink on a very quiet Saturday afternoon over winter and we had our 1yr old daughter with us who was happy sitting on my lap not bothering anyone and we were told to leave immediately as children were not allowed in the main bar area. We were told to go to the bistro. So we left. Very disappointed.

The Portsea Hotel has the best beer garden! The bay views are magnificent. The staff are happy to help and the meals appear from the kitchen very quickly. They are hugely popular over Summer and to get a table outside in the garden you have to be quick. We dined upstairs and in the bistro and both were great. I stayed here overnight many years ago and it was very basic with shared bathrooms - I don't know if it has changed though. I think the staff make this place - they are very accommodating.

This is a nice little English pub located in gorgeous Main Ridge Victoria. We dined in their restaurant area which overlooks their lovely gardens. It was a rainy Winters day and this placed was absolutely packed. They did pretty well considering how busy they were. Our waiter was very good. The food came in generous serves and was delicious. Our only let-down was that the kids meals came last (they really need to come first because its hard to keep kids sitting at the table when they are hungry) and my salmon was luke-warm. The meals did not come all together and the kids ice cream was forgotten all together. Other than that we enjoyed our time there.

A relaxed place that serves a wide variety of tacos and some great desserts. They have their own beer which is tastey, especially on a hot summers night ! They have a 'Locals' night which is appreciated amongst Rye residents. They have local bands and an open mic night, although they charge a $5 cover. The owners seem lovely and they have kids so they know how to look after families.
