I moved to purchase a used shipping container in November 2019 and went with container traders. Price was on par with other companies but chose container traders due to fast response. This ended after they had my money.
A delivery date was agreed on with the understanding that this may not be the exact date (it was a remote area and delivery is a little unpredictable at best). When the due date came I phoned to get an update on a time/date, I was told that the driver would ring me today (this happened to be a Friday). No phone call but I gave them to Monday. Rang again on Monday, and was told that the price did not include delivery ("delivery included" clearly written on invoice in two places, we had also discussed what type of truck would deliver it). My case was then passed to the manager (this took 2 days to get to speak to him) who gave a sob story that they would not be making any money out of the delivery and they would need more money. I said that that was not the agreed price. I did not get any response as to what was happening, I offered for them to return my money, but they would not respond to text or phone calls. I finally launched a credit card dispute and informed container traders that I had done so, I then received a phone call from container traders manager.
I was given the run around for another 4 work days plus weekend. They finally purchased a container for me and a new delivery date was given. When the new date arrived I texted to try and get a time of delivery, no response. Delivery date passed again. There was only one company in town that delivers containers via tilt tray so I gave them a call to see if the order had come to them, it had and they were more than happy to provide a delivery date and time.

My container turned up only 3 weeks late with numerous phone calls and text messages.

If using this company I would recommend paying via credit card (easier to get money back if needed) and communicating via text and email or keep good record of voice communication. Ensure your invoice is correct.
